Compare & contrast: Obama’s hubris and Bush’s class

Compare and contrast two Presidents addressing the nation on the capture of two of America’s most wanted. The dissimilarity is obvious and glaring, and any fair-minded person will quickly note the difference.

This is just one instance of dozens where Barack Obama’s malignant narcissism is on full display. Everything is about him, and the mainstream media, to its eternal shame, is guilty of facilitating the man’s mental illness.

The Humble Libertarian via Gateway Pundit - First, here is President George W. Bush announcing the capture of Saddam Hussein in 2003.

”The success of yesterday’s mission is a tribute to our men and women now serving in Iraq . The operation was based on the superb work of intelligence analysts who found the dictator’s footprints in a vast country. The operation was carried out with skill and precision by a brave fighting force. Our servicemen and women and our coalition allies have faced many dangers in the hunt for members of the fallen regime, and in their effort to bring hope and freedom to the Iraqi people. Their work continues, and so do the risks. Today, on behalf of the nation, I thank the members of our Armed Forces and I congratulate ‘em.”

And, here is Barack Obama’s speech after Osaama Bin Laden was killed last month.

“Tonight, I can report . . . And so shortly after taking office, I directed Leon Panetta . . . I was briefed on a possible lead to bin Laden . . . met repeatedly with my national security team . . . determined that we had enough intelligence to take action. . . . Today, at my direction . . . I’ve made clear . . . Over the years, I’verepeatedly made clear . . . Tonight, I called President Zardari . . . and my team has also spoken. . .These efforts weigh on me every time Ias Commander-in-Chief . . . Finally, let me say to the families . . . I know that it has, at times, frayed. . . .”

  2. I have to agree with Anonymous. “Mission Accomplished” and the whole carrier land thing was over the top, and, of course, the mission had only started.

  3. Dear Anonymous (…and well you will remain), the WAR was ‘accomplished’ with historical rapidity and near –zero loss-of-life. The reconstruction and democratization of Iraq had just begun. Get off your ‘talking points’ and get look beyond the NY Times for an enlightened source of information.
