In Pakistan, where Islamic clerics routinely promote Antisemitism, leading Pakistani politician and prominent religious leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman recently accused Israel of deploying Israeli soldiers in support of Indian security forces in Kashmir.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman is the head of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) party. His remark on Kashmir came in an official statement marking the Kashmir Martyrs’ Day – July 13, 2012. Rehman is the head of Pakistan’s Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir Affairs.

In another Antisemitic video that appeared on YouTube in June 2012, Pakistani cleric Pirzada Muhammad Raza Saqib Mustafai argued that world peace will be established only when all the Jews are wiped out from the earth.

In the video entitled “Yahodi Islam Kay Aur Aman Kay Asal Dushman Hain” (Jews Are the Real Enemy of Islam and Peace), Muhammad Raza Saqib Mustafai states: “And all the troubles that exist around the world are because of the Jews. When the Jews are wiped out, then the world would be purified and the sun of peace would begin to rise on the entire world.” His speech is part of the Fikr-e-Iman (Concern for Faith) series of lectures.

Mustafai is a leading cleric belonging to the Barelvi School of Sunni Islam and is also the founder of Idarat-ul-Mustafa Pakistan, which is described as a spiritual movement for the enforcement of Islamic shari’a in the country. He is a cleric at the Markazi Jamia Masjid Gulzar-e-Madinah, Gujranwala, Pakistan.

675 Pakistani women and girls murdered in ‘honor killings’ during the first 9 months of the year

The Australian (h/t Weasel Zippers) — At least 675 Pakistani women and girls were murdered during the first nine months of the year for allegedly defaming their family’s honour, a leading human rights group said today.

The statistics highlight the scale of violence suffered by many women in conservative Muslim Pakistan, where they are frequently treated as second-class citizens and there is no law against domestic violence.

Despite some progress on better protecting women’s rights, activists say the government needs to do far more to prosecute murderers in cases largely dismissed by police as private, family affairs.

“A total of 675 women and girls were killed in the name of honour across Pakistan from January to September,” a senior official in the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan said.

They included at least 71 victims under the age of 18.

The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he is unauthorised to speak to the media, said figures were still being compiled for the period covering October to December, and that a full report would be released in February. (more >>>)

Rape of Christian women in Pakistan by armed Muslims has become “common practice”

This happens throughout the Muslim world. No “infidel” is safe in these lands where a woman has virtually no rights in Islam, and is viewed as little more than chattel.

AsiaNews (via RoP) – The rape of Christian women in Punjab has become a “common practice” an “outrageous” phenomenon compounded by the fact that “the police protect the guilty” and not the victims. This is the bitter synopsis of Fr Jill John, of the Diocese of Lahore on the last recorded case of sexual violence against a Christian mother. The family calls for justice, but is struggling against a society in which the defenders of the law support the rapists. Even human rights groups like Masihi Life for All Foundation have intervened on the matter, asking government authorities to target the perpetrators of crimes and punish the corrupt and conniving police officers.

The incident dates back to Sept. 15, but the news filtered through only in recent days. Arifa Mushtaq (name changed for security reasons – ed) 32, mother of five was abducted and raped by three Muslims . Her husband Muashtaq Masih a worker at the Kasur sanitation department, in a devastated condition said, “Arifa use to work in a garment factory, on the y evening of 15 September she was coming home from work, she got off the bus, two local Muslims grabbed her from the back. Another armed accomplice came and put a gun on her head”.

The woman began to scream, then asked the trio to leave her free to think their children who were waiting at home. Instead, the men took Arifa by force to a house and, one by one, they raped her. The family is in shock and even their attempt to report the rape has added insult to injury: the Muslims have threatened her husband, warning him to withdraw the lawsuit. Otherwise, his children will have to go through what his wife has gone through. The police has also protected the perpetrators, putting pressure on Muashtaq Masih.

Fr. Jill John confirms that “the police helps the guilty, with omissions and gaps in the compilation of complaints to favor their freedom.” The family of the raped woman, added the priest, are now living in fear while criminals are free to roam the streets of the town. “How much longer – he asks – will we see the children of God suffer? And when will Mushtaq Masih’s family get justice? “. He appealed to the police chief of Punjab and the Minister of Justice to target the corrupt police officers and protect the family.

Ramadan suicide bomber kills 43 in Pakistan mosque

AFP (h/t RoP) – Pakistan — A suicide bomber struck a crowded Pakistan mosque on Friday, killing 43 people and wounding more than 100 during Ramadan prayers, in the country’s deadliest attack for three months.

Blood was splattered across the mosque’s main hall and walls, while the building’s doors and windows were destroyed and its ceiling fans mangled by the blast, according to an AFP reporter at the site.

Ball bearings used in the suicide vest were also scattered across the mosque in Jamrud town, 25 kilometres (16 miles) from Peshawar, the main city in the Khyber tribal district where much of the violence in Pakistan is concentrated.

The attack took place came as a US drone strike killed four militants in the northwestern tribal area of Pakistan which is awash with Taliban and Al-Qaeda-linked networks and where US special forces killed Osama bin Laden on May 2.

More than 500 people had packed into the mosque and a senior official from the Khyber tribal district administration Sayed Ahmed Jan told AFP that the bomb had exploded seconds after the main prayer ended.

The deputy chief of the semi-autonomous administration said that 43 people had been killed and 117 wounded.

“It was a suicide attack. The bomber was wearing about 8-10 kg of explosives and was on foot. He detonated in the main prayer hall,” said Khalid Mumtaz Kundi.

Top administration official Mutahar Zeb told AFP that the injured had been taken to nearby hospitals while a bomb disposal squad was at the scene.

Witness Gul Jamal Afridi, 46, a local truck driver told AFP that he had been thrown to the ground in the intensity of the blast.

“I saw smoke and fire. People were dying and crying for help, some were running in panic. I saw body parts and human flesh, it was horrible,” he said.

Student Saqib Ullah, 24, said he had tried to help those lying near him after the bomb went off, but found most were already dead.

“I saw my uncle lying in a pool of blood. I ran towards him and picked him up to carry on my back, but he had already died,” he said.

Like the rest of the Muslim world, Pakistan is observing the holy month of Ramadan in which faithful fast from dawn to dusk.

Iftikhar Khan, an official at the Hayatabad Medical Complex in Peshawar told AFP that 40 wounded people had been rushed there alone.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack but bombings blamed on Taliban and Al-Qaeda-linked networks have killed more than 4,550 people since 2007, destabilising the nuclear-armed state.

Friday’s bomb was the deadliest since May 13 when two suicide bombers blew themselves up outside a police training centre in a town about 30 kilometres north of Peshawar killing 98 people.

Pakastani father massacres own family, six daughters killed – honor restored!

Good grief, Muslims sure have a strange way of showing they care.

A Pakastani Muslim father gunned down 6 of his daughters because one of their brothers said that two of his teenage sisters, ages 14 and 16, were in a relationship with college boys from the neighbourhood.

The father said, “He does not regret what he did. He boasted that he would do it all over again if he had to.”

No word on what the tattletale brother thought of his father’s handiwork. More for him at the dinner table, I guess…

Herald Tribune (h/t Weasel Zippers)  -  A man gunned down six of his daughters on suspicion that two of them were in relationships with boys in the neighbourhood.

On Tuesday morning, Arif Mubashir called his teenage daughters to his room and shot them while the rest of the family, including their mother, watched. His wife Musarrat called the police after the incident.

Mubashir shot the girls after their brother said two of them were in a relationship. He told police officials that he had killed his daughters because they were both “without honour”. The man said his daughters Sameena, 14, and Razia, 16, were in a relationship with college boys from the neighbourhood and the sisters had helped each other. “I should have been told immediately but the girls sided with each other. They were both corrupt,” Mubashir told Tandlianwala Police Inspector Javed Sial.

Police officials have taken Mubashir into custody and filed a case against him. “He does not regret what he did. He boasted that he would do it all over again if he had to,” Sial told reporters.

Pakistan has repeatedly been termed as one of the least women-friendly countries. In June, the Thompson Reuters Foundation ranked Pakistan as the world’s third most dangerous country for women.

AP (h/t Gateway Pundit) - The Pakistani Taliban said Sunday the group had sent a husband and wife suicide squad to carry out an attack on a police station in northwestern Pakistan that killed 10 people, a rare instance of militants using a woman as a bomber.

The pair entered the police station in Kolachi on Saturday and said they were there to lodge a complaint, said Imtiaz Shah, a senior police official. Once inside, the two attacked with grenades and machine guns, triggering a five-hour standoff with police.

Both attackers, including the woman wearing an all-covering robe known as a burqa, eventually blew themselves up. They killed eight police officers and two civilians, said Mohammad Hussain, another police official.

“This shows how much we hate Pakistani security institutions,” Pakistani Taliban spokesman Ahsanullah Ahsan told The Associated Press by telephone from an undisclosed location.

Ahsan claimed it was the first time the militant group had used a female suicide bomber.

However, Pakistani officials said a female suicide bomber wearing a burqa attacked a World Food Program food distribution center in northwestern Pakistan late last year, killing 45 people.

AP (h/t Weasel Zippers) — Pakistanis largely disapprove of the U.S. raid that killed Osama bin Laden, with a majority believing the al-Qaida chief’s death is a bad thing and relations between Washington and Islamabad will suffer as a result, new polling data show.

The findings of two Pew Research Center surveys reflect widespread anti-Americanism in a country where many view the U.S. as the main reason for rising Islamist violence that has killed thousands, even as many of the same Pakistanis hold the militants behind such attacks in low regard.

[...] The May survey found that 63 percent of Pakistanis disapproved of the bin Laden raid, while 10 percent approved and 27 percent gave no opinion.

More than half — 55 percent — saw the terror chief’s death as a bad thing, 14 percent saw it as a good thing,while around one-third expressed no opinion. And of those surveyed, 51 percent said the relations between the U.S. and Pakistan would worsen as a result of the raid.

Nearly 70 percent of Pakistanis surveyed view the U.S. as an enemy, while fewer then 1 in 10 see it as a partner, both surveys showed. Around three in four have an unfavorable opinion of America, both polls showed.

The International News (h/t Gateway Pundit) - LOWER DIR: Terrorists have started kidnapping innocent children to use them in suicide attacks, Geo News reported. A girl kidnapped from Peshawar on Sunday was taken into custody from the Islamdarra check post in Lower Dir. The eight-year-old was found wearing a suicide jacket.

During a press conference, DPO Lower Dir, Saleem Marwart informed the media that the girl was taken into custody by the police and security forces. The child was wearing a suicide jacket which was removed from her.

The child spoke to the media and said that she was a student of class 3 and was kidnapped by two women and a man on Sunday.

Pakistan: Muslims gang rape young Christian woman, desecrate tombs

In both cases, police refused to file a First Information Report, allowing the culprits to escape justice.

These are examples of the ordinary violence visited upon Pakistan’s Christian minority. Whether it involves Christian-owned land and property or individuals who are targeted because they are defenceless, victims will not find justice with the country’s legal system. Gradually, Pakistan’s ‘Islamisation’ slowly progresses, especially in the densely populated province of Punjab.

The Pakistan Christian Post reports that, in Chak Jhumra (Faisalabad), Muslim landowners destroyed and desecrated a Christian graveyard, using a tractor to plough over a number of tombs. Buried coffins were broken and the bones of the dead were brought to the surface. The local police refused to open an inquiry, whilst the landowners utter threats against local Christians to get them to stop legal proceedings. (more >>>)

The warning was formally conveyed by the Chinese foreign minister at last week’s China-US strategic dialogue and economic talks in Washington, The News daily quoted diplomatic sources as saying. China also advised the USa to “respect Pakistan’s sovereignty and solidarity”, the report said.

Chinese Premier Mr Wen Jiabao informed his Pakistani counterpart Mr Yousuf Raza Gilani about the matters taken up with the US during their formal talks at the Great Hall of the People yesterday. The report said China “warned in unequivocal terms that any attack on Pakistan would be construed as an attack on China”. The two premiers held a 45-minute one-on-one meeting before beginning talks with their delegations.

The Chinese leadership was “extremely forthcoming in assuring its unprecedented support to Pakistan for its national cause and security” and discussed all subjects of mutual interest with Mr Gilani, the report said. 73% of Americans oppose sending foreign aid to Pakistan

WASHINGTON (h/t Weasel Zippers) - Nearly three in four Americans (73%) are opposed to sending foreign aid toPakistan until it demonstrates a deeper commitment to the war against terrorism, an opinion poll here has revealed, even as senior Obama administration officials are making a qualified case for continuing assistance to a shifty ally.

In a clear sign that Washington is swimming against the tide of popular distaste for Pakistan, a Fox News poll released on Wednesday showed 73% of voters against aid to Islamabad, and only 19% saying US should continue funding . The poll, taken after Osama bin Laden was found living outside Islamabad, showed only 16% considered Pakistan as a US ally in the war on terror, against 74% who did not consider Pakistan a friend.

Fox News said the sentiment is widespread, as majorities of Republicans (84%), Democrats (67%) and independents (66%), as well as both men (73%) and women (73 %) say the US should cut off funding to Pakistan. Democrats (22%) are almost twice as likely as Republicans (12%) and independents (12%) to consider Pakistan a strong ally.

Dual suicide bombing kills 80 in Pakistan, revenge for OBL

Two suicide bombers took at least 80 Pakistanis with them, another 60 or more injured. Pakistan’s Taliban claimed credit, saying the attack was revenge for Osama bin Laden.

Although the young Pakistan recruits had nothing to do with the death of bin Laden, Muslims need little excuse to kill fellow Muslims.

Ynet - Pakistani Taliban suicide bombers killed at least 80 people at a paramilitary force academy in the northwest on Friday, and vowed further bloodshed in retaliation for the death of Osama bin Laden in a US raid in the country.

The first major bombing in Pakistan since bin Laden’s death on May 2, it will reinforce the common view that his elimination will not ease violence because al Qaeda is not centralized and will keep inspiring groups, like the Pakistani Taliban, which are scattered globally and loosely bound by ideology.

“It’s the first revenge for the martyrdom of … bin Laden. There will be more,” Taliban spokesman Ehsanullah Ehsan said by telephone from an undisclosed location.

The bomber struck soon after dawn as the recruits were on their way out of the gates of the Frontier Constabulary academy in the town of Charsadda on leave.

“It was a suicide bombing,” said Nisar Sarwat, police chief of Charsadda, a market town surrounded by wheat fields 135 km (85 miles) from the capital Islamabad.

One of the suicide bombers was on a motorcycle and police were investigating reports that the other attacker was too, he said.

I wrote yesterday about “ally” Pakistan threatening to show the crashed super-secret U.S. helicopter that was used in the bin Laden take down to the Communist Chinese.

It seems they already have, and furthermore have no intention of returning it to the U.S.. According to the report, the ChiComs are offering Pakistan a lot of goodies for that piece of tail. The only people in the world who continue to cower before Barack Hussein Obama are Republicans.

Pakistan threatens to give ChiComs “a look” at SEAL team helicopter

Like every other country on the planet, the Pakastanis know they can push the feckless, weakling Obama Administration around, and even be rewarded for doing so. Don’t be surprised when we learn that not only do we not cut off aid to this terrorist-coddling regime, that the Obama Administration actually ends up increasing it.

ABC News (h/t Weasel Zippers) — Pakistani officials said today they’re interested in studying the remains of the U.S.’s secret stealth-modified helicopter abandoned during the Navy SEAL raid of Osama bin Laden’s compound, and suggested the Chinese are as well.

The U.S. has already asked the Pakistanis for the helicopter wreckage back, but one Pakistani official told ABC News the Chinese were also “very interested” in seeing the remains. Another official said, “We might let them [the Chinese] take a look.”

A U.S. official said he did not know if the Pakistanis had offered a peek to the Chinese, but said he would be “shocked” if the Chinese hadn’t already been given access to the damaged aircraft.

The chopper, which aviation experts believe to be a highly classified modified version of a Blackhawk helicopter, clipped a wall during the operation that took down the al Qaeda leader, the White House said. The U.S. Navy SEALs that rode in on the bird attempted to destroy it after abandoning it on the ground, but a significant portion of the tail section survived the explosion. In the days after the raid, the tail section and other pieces of debris — including a mysterious cloth-like covering that the local children found entertaining to play with — were photographed being hauled away from the crash site by tractor.

Aviation experts said the unusual configuration of the rear rotor, the curious hub-cap like housing around it and the general shape of the bird are all clues the helicopter was highly modified to not only be quiet, but to have as small a radar signature as possible.

Pakistan warns U.S. of “disastrous consequences” if it attempts any more raids

Pakistan, like every other Muslim country in the world, is dictating terms to the U.S.. They understand well that the U.S. under Barack Obama is a paper tiger.

For the same reason, Iran, Hezbollah, the PLO and Hamas, feel more emboldened than ever. They know that there is nothing they could ever say or do that would cause Obama to turn off the spigot of U.S. tax dollars, protest, or seek any sort of retaliation.

It’s obviously that Pakistan, who receives billions in U.S. aid, is playing America for the fool it has become, and that its heart and soul is with the terrorists. They knew bin Laden was there, and they know where other terrorists are hiding, too. In the very least we should cut off aid to them, and if they were to dare to lift a finger against us in any way, we should break it off. But we won’t, because they are right. America is a paper tiger, sadly.

Associated Press ISLAMABAD – Pakistan warned America Thursday of “disastrous consequences” if it carries out any more raids against terrorists like the one that killed Osama bin Laden, and hit back at international allegations it may have been harboring the al-Qaida chief….

Foreign Secretary Salman Bashir’s remarks seemed to be aimed chiefly at addressing that criticism.

“The Pakistan security forces are neither incompetent nor negligent about their sacred duty to protect Pakistan,” he told reporters. “There shall not be any doubt that any repetition of such an act will have disastrous consequences,” he said….

American officials have said they didn’t inform Pakistan in advance, fearing bin Laden could be tipped off.

Elements of Pakistan’s army and Inter-Services Intelligence agency have long been suspected of maintaining links to Islamist militants, mostly for use as proxies in Afghanistan and Pakistan. While the country has worked with the United States to arrest many al-Qaida operatives since 2001, suspicion lingers it is playing a double game.

The leaders of Britain and France, as well as U.S. officials, have said Pakistan has questions to answer over bin Laden’s location in a large house close to an army academy in a garrison town.

Bashir said it was “absolutely wrong” to blame the ISI. “After all there was information within the U.S. system about those who were ultimately, eventually responsible for the 9/11 (attacks), so it’s not for me to say that the U.S. government or the CIA failed to prevent that,” he said….

A good portion of the Muslim world isn’t very happy that bin Laden is shark food. After all the overtures that Barack Hussein Obama has made to them, you’d think they’d cut their brother some slack. But, no go.

The most upset are the Palestinians, of course, but the Pakastanis are none to pleased, either.

Hate: Pakistani men burn a U.S. flag during angry protests at the killing of Osama Bin Laden in Multan

UK Daily Mail - These were the angry scenes across Pakistan today as Muslims staged protests against the killing of Al Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden.

Hundreds of people marched through Multan, burning U.S. flags and waving placards as they warned the terrorist’s death could produce many more radical figures to take his place.

It comes after crowds of weeping mourners were pictured offering funeral prayers for the Al Qaeda mastermind widely blamed for thousands of deaths at 9/11.

They will heap further pressure on the British government to justify the £650million aid package sent to a country where so many appear to hate us.

Only today Lashkar-e-Taiba – the militants behind the Mumbai terror attack – said Bin Laden’s ‘martyrdom’ would not be in vain.

David Cameron today however insisted it was in Britain’s national interest to continue to co-operate with Pakistan in the fight against terrorism as debate intensified over a £650m aid package handed the country just weeks ago.

The Prime Minister said there were ‘searching questions’ for the Pakistani government to answer after U.S. special forces tracked down the Al Qaeda leader to a large villa complex close to the country’s leading military academy.

He said the terrorist leader’s ability to live in a large house there showed he had an ‘extensive support network’ in the country and it was right to ask ‘searching questions’ about that.

A mob of rabid, hate-filled Muslims attacked Christian homes and places of worship in Gujranwala, Pakistan, setting fire to a number of churches.

Yet another reason to be done with Pakistan. The country is hopeless and our tens of billions of dollars accomplish nothing.

Claiming Koran desecration is the new blood libel. Muslims now use this excuse all the time to attack Christians and other ‘infidels’. They get away with it because Liberals in the West have allowed them to by not standing up for free speech, beginning as far back as the publishing of Salman Rushdie’s ‘The Satanic Verses,’ but especially ever since the Mohammed cartoons.

Rushdie: Washington must demand answers from the Zardari government.

Speaking of Rushdie, he says in an interview with Newsmax that it is inconceivable that Pakistan didn’t know Osama bin Laden was there.  He thinks it is ridiculous to believe that bin Laden could have lived “at the end of a dirt road …in a military cantonment where soldiers are on every street corner, just about 80 miles from the Pakistani capital.”

It is time for Washington to demand answers from the Zardari government in Islamabad, Rushdie wrote. “If it does not provide those answers, perhaps the time has come to declare it a terrorist state and expel it from the comity of nations.”

(AsiaNews (h/t Weasel Zippers) — Tensions are running high in Gujranwala, a town in the Pakistani province of Punjab, recent scene of repeated attacks by Muslim extremists against the Christian minority. Yesterday, a mob attacked Christian homes and places of worship, setting fire to a number of churches. Only the action of police prevented any loss of life and injuries.

The attacks were sparked by reports that a burnt copy of the Qur‘an had been found on Saturday. Muslim religious leaders responded by urging people to attack Christians. Scared for their lives, many families fled the area. Meanwhile, the authorities have begun enforcing Section 144 of the Pakistan Penal Code to limit public assemblies to a maximum of four people.

Speaking to AsiaNews, Fr Philip Gomes said he personally saw “episodes of violence in the Aziz and Gulzar colony” on Saturday. Police stopped the attackers, arresting some of them. Pakistan Muslims attacked Christian village, force inhabitants to flee for their lives

The attacks upon Christians throughout the Muslim world are becoming more reminiscent of the blood libels that were used against Jews for centuries. Accuse the Christians of “blasphemy” and use it as an excuse to confiscate their property, or to do just about anything else they want.

AsiaNews (h/t Weasel Zippers) – Hundreds of Muslims attacked the Christian village of Khokarki this morning a few miles from the city of Gujranwala (Punjab), forcing its inhabitants to flee. According to AsiaNews sources, anonymous for security reasons, the attack took place following a dispute between Christian Mushtag gill and some local Muslims, who had accused the man and his son of blasphemy.

Mushtaq, 60, and his son, are accused of having desecrated the Koran. The police arrested them yesterday, after complaints of some Muslims who claim to have found torn pages of the Qu’ran in a bag hidden near the home of two Christians….

On 5 April in Chak Jhumra (Faisalab, Punjab), another Christian, Arif Masih, was arrested by police for allegedly ripping pages of the Qur’an. The Muslim community in the village took the defences of man, who is the victim of a personal vendetta for a matter related to land.

Pakistan is beyond a lost cause. This nuclear nation, and major recipient of U.S. aid (at least $1,457,872,000 a year), is so loaded with whack-a-doodle Muslims that it is only a matter of time before they explode, both figurative and literally, into a major jihadi headache for the world.

Agenzia Fides  (h/t Weasel Zippers)  – In Pakistan forced conversions to Islam, rapes and forced marriages are on the rise. The victims are mostly Hindu and Christian girls, belonging to religious minorities, complain Fides local sources. This has been a worrying phenomenon for the Church in Pakistan for some time and that the Church is trying to address, looking for the cooperation of institutions but it is an uphill battle. “The Christian girls are the weakest and most vulnerable, because their communities are poor, defenceless and marginalized, therefore easily exposed to harassment and threats.

Often they do not even have the courage to denounce the violence,” says a sister to Fides. The sister hides and assists the girls who have managed to escape. “But the trend is worrying: There are hundreds of cases a year registered and those that come to light are only a fraction,” she says. In a society that tolerates discrimination of religious minorities, especially of women, the dominant religion and related social position are used to impose tyranny.

A report sent to Fides by the Centre for Legal Assistance and Settlement (CLAAS), which takes care of legal assistance for Christians who are discriminated against and persecuted in Pakistan, confirms this issue, reporting some terrible cases that occur mainly in province of Punjab.   Keep reading…

A Pakastani man was accused of heresy and spent 2 years in jail before finally being exonerated. But, in the Islamic badlands of Pakistan, that’s not good enough.

Some Islamonazi “vigilantes” took matters into their own hands, tracked the innocent blasphemer down and shot him dead. Mohamed Imran left behind a wife and little girl with no one to support them. Isn’t shariah great?

Talahore, Pakistan (CNN) – Mohamed Imran had been accused, jailed, tried and cleared: if anything, society owed him a debt as a man wrongfully accused.

But his crime was blasphemy. He was meant to have said something derogatory about the prophet Mohammed, so in Pakistan justice worked a little differently.

Two weeks after he returned to his small patch of farmland on the rustic outskirts of Islamabad, his alleged crime caught up with him.

Two gunmen burst into the shoe shop where he was sat talking to a friend. Imran tried to duck, to seek cover behind the man next to him – terrified so greatly for his own life that he perhaps forgot about those around him.

But the gunmen found their target and Pakistan’s controversial blasphemy laws claimed another victim.

Pakistan: Two Taliban suicide bombers attack Sufi Muslim shrine, 42 killed

Were Sufis burning Korans?

No, Sufi Muslims just aren’t considered Muslim enough by the Taliban, and so they must die.

These savages need no excuse to murder, it’s who they are.

Reports say at least 80 people were injured in the blasts, 30 of them critically. Other reports say 100 wounded.

A 14-year-old brainwashed suicide bomber was captured after his explosives were more dud than bang. When his vest failed to detonate, he threw a grenade but, more bad luck – not enough umph, and it exploded close to him, blowing off his hand. Police then shot him, hitting him in his other arm. He was very disappointed, and unrepentant.

“Let me go, I want to be a martyr,” he said as he was being led away, according to police officer Khalid Mahmood. “I want to send all you policemen to hell!”

And collect his 72 virgins, of course. What a reckless, irresponsible, cruel, immoral, and disgusting religion to have ruined a kid’s life like that, and worse, those of his victims.

Last October, a bomb blast at a Sufi shrine in another eastern city, Pak Pattan, killed six people. In July, 42 people were killed in a bomb attack in Pakistan’s most important Sufi shrine, in Lahore, the capital of eastern Punjab province.

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan (h/t Weasel Zippers) – Taliban militants carried out a double suicide bombing outside the shrine of the 13th century Muslim Sufi saint Ahmed Sultan, popularly known as Sakhi Sarwar, in Dera Ghazi Khan district, in Pakistan’s Punjab province, killing 42 people and injuring more than 70 on Sunday.

Hundreds of Muslims had gathered at the shrine for a ceremony when the attacks took place.

“We have recovered 41 bodies so far,” police officer Zahid Hussain said, adding that more than 70 people were wounded. “Both were suicide attackers, they came on foot and blew themselves up when police on duty stopped them.”

The world has become so accustomed to Muslims severing the heads of infidels that the daily occurrence no longer elicits any shock or disgust.

The main reason for this is that no world leader, and no mainstream media outlet is incensed or disgusted by these daily displays of barbarity. Muslims must not, under any circumstances, be seen as anything but victims of Western Islamophobia.

Hence the perpetrators of this savagery are always deemed “militants” or “rebels” or “protestors”.

AFP (elicits Weasel Zippers) — PESHAWAR, Pakistan. Militants early Friday beheaded three security guards at a NATO truck terminal and damaged 10 oil tankers in a restive Pakistani tribal area bordering Afghanistan, officials said.

The murders took place at the NATO supply vehicle hub in Landi Kotal, a town in the restive Khyber tribal district where the bulk of supplies destined for foreign troops in Afghanistan pass through.

“Early Friday we found the beheaded bodies of three security guards from the NATO trucking terminal,” tribal administration official Iqbal Khan Khattak told AFP.

“The attackers also damaged 10 oil tankers with mortars and small arms fire, but there was no blaze as the tankers were empty and had returned from Afghanistan after delivering supplies,” Khattak said.

The drivers had parked up at the terminal on their return journey to stay overnight in nearby hotels, he said.

“It is the work of the militants,” Khattak replied when asked who could be behind the killings, alluding to numerous attacks that have targeted workers employed in re-supplying foreign forces based in Afghanistan.

Muslims gun down Pakistan’s only Christian cabinet minister

Shahbaz Bhatti, the minister of minorities and Pakistan’s only Christian cabinet member, was shot eight times by Muslim gunmen who ambushed him as he stepped into his car.

Here he is in a haunting interview given not long before he was assassinated, acknowledging the danger he was in by Pakistan’s radical Muslim population.

This jihadi assassination mimics the pious assassination of the Pakistan governor who was shot dead in cold blood two months ago because he criticized Islamic blasphemy laws (the sharia).

[Jihad murder victim, Governor] Taseer had recently spoken out in defense of a Christian woman sentenced to death for blasphemy and calling for the law to be struck down, drawing ire from Islamist parties. Recently on Twitter, Mr. Taseer had been calling for people to demonstrate on the street against the blasphemy laws, which date to the dictatorship of former military Gen. Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq in the 1980s.

Taseer’s Muslim murderer was showered with rose petals. Thousands took to the streets in support of the killer.

Raymond Davis

Pakistan is also holding hostage an American worker, Raymond Davis, whom the Obama Administration has sold down the river by admitting that he works for the CIA.

Davis is being held by the Pakistanis for having defended himself during an assault. That Davis works for the CIA is not relevant to his case, and does not affect his diplomatic immunity, but by going public with the information almost ensures that the guy is now a dead man walking.

Pakistan is another Islamic basket case. Everyone focusses their attention on the Middle East, when perhaps the country that poses the greatest threat is already-nuclear Pakistan. It’s a toss up whether it will be Pakistan or Iran who sets the entire world on fire, but the danger these two countries pose to the world is almost completely overlooked.

People like to cite U.S. aid to Israel, but ignore the fact that the total amount of aid Muslim countries around the world receive – nearly all of whom hate America’s guts – dwarfs that which Israel receives.

Pakistan, for instance, is the world’s second-largest recipient of American economic and development assistance. (See the WSJ for an in-depth look at U.S. aid to Pakistan.)

Yet, all our billions haven’t earned us a drop of goodwill in Pakistan, or any other Muslim country for that matter. A poll of Pakistanis in July 2010, by the Washington-based Pew Research Center showed that two-thirds of respondents considered the U.S. an enemy.

Over the past 20 years, America has been funding the Arab world’s Jihad against Herself. And that doesn’t count the hundreds of billions that we send them in oil revenues because American Liberals absolutely refuse to allow us to develop our own massive energy reserves.

Christian family runs for life in Denmark

It’s not just the Jews of Denmark that have to watch their backs. If you’re a Christian with a cool Islamic-Iranian sounding name like, Massoud Fouroozandeh, and run a church, you aren’t fairing too well either, it seems.

It could be worse, however. You could be a Christian in Pakistan, where, according to Herald Tribune, ‘Two Christian women were beaten and publically humiliated by an angry mob over apparently frivolous blasphemy allegations and they and their family are now in hiding for fear of being killed.’

It’s shaping up to be another bang-up year for Christians and other infidels.

(Spero News) — The Iranian-born head of the Church of Love, Massoud Fouroozandeh, fled with his family from the Vollsmose area of Odense – Denmark’s third-largest city – to a secret location in a small town, after two of the family’s cars were smashed. Each of them had a Christian cross hanging inside, according to local media reports.

“I was told by young people in Vollsmose that I shouldn’t drive around the area with the cross hanging in the car. Afterwards our car was completely smashed up and burned and the seats slashed. Since then the side-windows of our new car were smashed three times,” he says.

After the vandalism, Massoud Fouroozandeh and his wife didn’t dare let their children play in the playground in Vollsmose.

“They don’t go with a headscarf, and 99% of the other children do that, so they attracted a lot of attention, and it wasn’t safe to send them out to play. Therefore we moved far away from Vollsmose,” he says.

Massoud Fouroozandeh is one of several non-Danish Christians who’ve been subjected to threats and attacks in Denmark. An Albanian member of the Church of Love was recently beaten by his countrymen, because he went around wearing a cross on his neck, and had considered getting baptized. And as Danish daily Kristeligt Dagblad wrote in the past, a Christian Iraqi family received phone calls for two weeks telling them to convert to Islam. Massoud Fouroozandeh says that religious threats have long been received by converts to Christianity.

He continues to be a pastor at the Church of Love, where most of the congregants are Afghans and Iranians. Since the church was established in 1997, he has baptized about 500 people. Most were Muslims who converted to Christianity.

Moderate Pakistani governor’s murderer cheered by moderate Muslims

"High-five moderate brother!"

Pakistan Provincial governor Salman Taseer was murdered this week by one of his bodyguards. His killer was showered with rose petals as he appeared in court today and cheered by thousands of “moderate” supporters. It seems the governor signed his own death warrant when he campaigned to ease Pakistan’s blasphemy law, designed to protect Islam and the Prophet Muhammad from “insult.” Religious groups threatened to kill others who questioned the blasphemy statute.

According to AP, “More than 500 Muslim scholars praised the man suspected of killing a Pakistani governor because the politician opposed blasphemy laws that mandate death for those convicted of insulting Islam. The group of scholars and clerics known as Jamat Ahle Sunnat is affiliated with a moderate school of Islam and represents the mainstream Barelvi sect. The group said in a statement Wednesday that no one should pray for Taseer or express regret for his murder.

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan — The increasing radicalization of Pakistani society was laid bare Wednesday when the nation’s mainstream religious organizations applauded the murder of provincial governor Salman Taseer earlier this week, while his killer was showered with rose petals as he appeared in court.

Taseer, 66, the governor of Punjab, the country’s most heavily populated province, was assassinated Tuesday by one of his police bodyguards after Taseer had campaigned to ease Pakistan’s blasphemy law. Religious groups threatened to kill others who questioned the blasphemy statute, which is designed to protect Islam and the Prophet Muhammad from “insult.”

Pakistan is a key partner for the U.S. in the global fight against terrorism but waves of fundamentalism have produced an increasingly intolerant and anti-American country, making the alliance with Washington hugely unpopular.

While terrorist acts are generally associated with an extremist fringe, the gunning down of Taseer appears to have significant support that reached into the heart of society.
