Jerusalem Post – After Nasrallah threatens to kill tens of thousands of Israelis, Hezbollah trains for war inside Israel.

Over 10,000 Hezbollah fighters participated in the organization’s largest military exercise to date last week, which included defensive tactics and preparations to occupy the Upper Galilee, Lebanese newspaper Al-Joumhouria reported.

The report noted that the drill lasted three days and the majority of the soldiers that participated in the exercise belonged to special forces.

According to the “informed source,” Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah is said to have called for the organization to make the appropriate preparations to occupy northern Israel recently.

It is widely believed that any sort of military action that Israel takes against Iran would be followed by a response from the Lebanese Shi’ite paramilitary organization on its northern border. Last Friday, Nasrallah threatened to rain rockets onto Israel’s North as part of his public address on Al-Quds Day.

“Hitting these targets with a small number of rockets will turn … the lives of hundreds of thousands of Zionists to real hell, and we can talk about tens of thousands of dead,” said Nasrallah.

The speech followed a report that Hezbollah had received Scud missiles from Syria in April of this year. The missiles were reported to be old and unusable, but the Hezbollah sources confirmed they had a large arsenal of surface-to-surface missiles. Around the same time the IDF came very close to attacking a convoy carrying weapons from Syria to Lebanon, but at the last moment decided against it, according to The Wall Street Journal.

Currently embroiled in a civil war, Syria is an important supply line for Hezbollah, as it connects the Shi’ite Lebanese organization to the Shi’ite regime in Tehran. Hezbollah was reported to be providing military support for the Assad regime as it tries to suppress a rebellion that has already claimed over many thousands of lives. If the Assad regime falls, the Shiite crescent will fragment, and Hezbollah’s supply line from Iran will be geographically cut.

Israel uncovers Arab terrorist cell working with Hezbollah, foils massive plot to carry out a “mega-attack”

But..but according to the international community Hezbollah is harmless. The cell was holding many weapons, including powerful bombs and M-16 rifles.

Israel Hayom – Israel has foiled a massive plot to carry out a “mega-attack” or wave of several deadly terrorist attacks against Israeli targets, it was announced on Wednesday. The Israel Police’s Northern District’s Border Unit and the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) scored a significant intelligence success by uncovering an Israeli-Arab cell smuggling weapons and explosives from Lebanon into Israel.

Eleven suspects were indicted Wednesday in a Nazareth court on charges of aiding the enemy in a time of war, meeting with foreign agents, possession of weapons,conspiracy to commit a crime, attempted drug smuggling and attempted drug trafficking.

Following the lifting of a gag order on the case Wednesday, it was revealed that the cell, made up of three distinct groups and comprising 14 individuals smuggled in 24 ready-to-use C4 high-quality bombs with attached timers into the northern border town of Ghajar, which straddles the Israel-Lebanon border. In addition to the explosive devices, the suspected cell members were caught, following an extensive intelligence gathering operation, with an FN MAG general-purpose machine gun and an M16 rifle stolen from the Israel Defense Forces.

Of the 14 suspects, six are from Ghajar (one of the suspects is reportedly just 17 years old and another is related to the village’s elder), six are from Nazareth and one from Ramle in the center of the country.

From Ghajar, the explosives were transferred to Kafr Kana and Nazareth. The operation was dubbed “Time Bomb” as the security services were racing against time to make sure the explosives weren’t scattered across the country. The cells were operated by the Hezbollah: One cell operated in Lebanon and transferred the explosives to the cell based in Ghajar. The Ghajar cell then worked with the Nazareth-based cell. According to police, some communication between the cells was done through cellphone SIM cards procured in Jordan.

“This is one of the most severe and dangerous security plots we’ve had here. The intelligence provided by the police’s northern border unit was of extremely high quality,” a district police officer told Israel Radio on Wednesday.

Police said that Hezbollah used an existing drug smuggling network of Israeli Arabs to bring 24 ready-to-use bombs from Lebanon into Israel. Some of the smugglers were not aware that they were transporting explosives, whilst others did know, police added.

According to the Northern District’s Spokesperson’s Office, “Over the past year, Hezbollah has been greatly motivated to carry out terrorist attacks against Israelis and Jews. Hezbollah has worked to gather intelligence information to carry out a significant terrorist attack. In order to achieve their set goal of carrying out a high-profile, effective attack inside Israel, Hezbollah smuggled in large bombs, including operating systems and timers.”

In a press conference, a Shin Bet official said that the agency decided to swoop in on the cell after the bombs were moved from the northern border town of Ghajar to Nazareth. It remains unclear who the eventual recipients of the explosives are, and there is speculation from security experts that since the bombs did not reach their intended handlers, there is a strong possibility that a Hezbollah sleeper cell is still active in Israel. The Shin Bet told reporters that it decided to act to take 20 kilograms of C4 explosives off the streets. Agency officials said that Hezbollah uses tactics of crime organizations, making use of drug smuggling networks. This is just the tip of the iceberg of Hezbollah terror activity, the official said. Since Hezbollah has been deterred from heating up the Lebanese border with Israel, it is trying to spread terror abroad, such as the July attack against Israeli tourists in Bulgaria, and inside Israel, the official said.

That was the list of allegations federal officials laid out against an Austin nightclub owner and nine of his associates in a dramatic hearing Tuesday.

Arrested last week on money laundering and drug charges, Yassine Enterprises owner Hussein Ali “Mike” Yassine, his brother, Mohammed Ali “Steve” Yassine, and eight others appeared in federal court and heard more details about the cases against them.

Mike Yassine, who owns eight Austin nightclubs, and the other suspects in the case face a variety of charges. Some are accused of cocaine distribution, purchases of guns to be used during drug deals and money laundering dating back to 2007.

Officials linked one suspect to the Texas Syndicate prison gang. They also said thousands of dollars were transferred to a Yassine relative in Lebanon who is reportedly connected to the militant group Hezbollah, considered a terrorist organization by the U.S. government.

Prosecutors for the first time also revealed that Mike Yassine is a “person of interest” in a case being investigated by the Austin Police Department’s homicide cold case unit. Austin police declined to provide additional details Tuesday, including the name of the alleged victim.

Mike Yassine might have also threatened witnesses, officials said, and is being investigated as part of a sexual assault case.

Judge Dennis Green denied bail for Mike Yassine and Steve Yassine. Bail for four others — including a third Yassine brother, Hadi Ali Yassine — ranged from $10,000 to $25,000. Bail rulings for the other suspects will be made at a later date, officials said.

Outside the courtroom on Tuesday, their father, Ali Yassine, said his sons are not guilty of the charges against them. “My boys … everybody’s innocent,” he said. “They’re very good boys.”

Also charged in the case are Marisse Marthe “Madi” Ruales, Karim Faiq, Alejandro “Cueta” Melendrez, Edgar Orsini, Nizar “Nino” Hakiki, Amar Thabet Araf and Sami Derder, all Central Texas residents who authorities say have various levels of involvement with the purported crimes.

During raids on the suspects’ homes and businesses last week, investigators said they seized more than 400 boxes of evidence.

They also report finding $200,000 in cash in a safe at the Yassine Enterprises offices on West Fourth Street, as well as cashier’s checks totaling $45,000 made out to a member of the Yassine family in Lebanon. That man is associated with Hezbollah, IRS agent James Neff testified.

The searches also turned up a bogus University of Texas diploma with Mike Yassine’s name, prosecutors said.

The American-Statesman has learned that businesses linked to Mike Yassine currently owe almost $600,000 in state sales and mixed-beverage taxes. His bank accounts have been frozen by the state comptroller’s office, his attorney said in court.

Homeland Security Chairman Pete King: U.S. infested with Hezbollah agents

“Now, how many Iranian and Hezbollah terrorists are here already?” said King. “The highly-disciplined soldiers of Hezbollah are trained to lie low for years, or for decades. Those who have gone up against this enemy for our government estimate the number to be at a minimum–at a minimum–in the hundreds.”

At the same hearing, the former chief of operations for the Drug Enforcement Administration testified that Mexican drug cartels are in “very close contact” with Hezbollah, Hamas and al Qaeda. He then pointed to what he called the possibility of a “nightmare scenario” in which Hezbollah and the Iranian al Quds force “focus on our Southwest border and use that as perhaps a springboard in attacking our country.”

“When most people think of, you know, [the] drugs-terror nexus, they immediately think of Latin America,” Michael Braun, who retired from the DEA in 2008, told the committee on Wednesday.

“But let me be perfectly clear,” he said. ”As Europe’s demand for cocaine continues to grow and as the Mexican and Colombian cartels, including the FARC, have sent their operatives into West Africa and North Africa to establish the transshipment infrastructure needed to move tons of those drugs, these bad guys are now routinely coming in very close contact with the likes of Hezbollah, Hamas, al-Qaeda who are vying for the same money, the same turf, and the same dollars.”  (more >>>)

Ynet — Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah is worth some $250 million, a Saudi newspaper reported recently, quoting American intelligence officials.

According to the report, the fortune of Nasrallah’s deputy, Sheikh Naim Qassem, and other senior organization members amounts to as much as $2 billion.

The anonymous intelligence sources believe the funds have been deposited in hundreds of bank accounts across the world, including in Europe, using fabricated or fake names.

Two Western sources are quoted as saying that the Hezbollah leaders from time to time channel millions of dollars from their bank accounts or their wives’ bank accounts to senior members of the Revolutionary Guards in Iran, who are responsible for transferring money to the Shiite organization from the office of Iranian supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

According to the report, Iranian parliament members are aware of this corruption, are unhappy with it but are avoiding discussing it.

US indictment of Lebanese druglord reveals close ties between Hezbollah and Mexican drug cartels

Meanwhile, the Obama Administration is doing everything it can to ensure that the borders are as open as possible, including the most recent attacks on Sheriff Joe Arpaio.

WASHINGTON – A US indictment of a Lebanese druglord revealed on Tuesday the close ties between Hezbollah and the drug cartels that have reduced parts of Mexico to near battle zones in recent years.

Ayman Joumaa, 47, was accused in absentia of conspiring to smuggle over 90,000 tons of cocaine into America and laundering over $250 million for the cartels.

Mexico served as a crossroads for the Colombia-manufactured drugs, which Joumaa helped to smuggle between 2005 and 2007.

Although the US Treasury Department listed Joumaa and another nine members of his cadre as Specially Designated Narcotics Traffickers in January 2011, the Lebanese drug magnate is not in American custody. The indictment was returned in absentia to a federal court’s grand jury last month, but was unsealed this week. If caught and convicted of the charges against him, Joumaa could face a lifetime in prison.

The indictment asserts that Joumaa made millions through his money-laundering operation, receiving between an 8- and 14-percent cut for his services. In January, federal authorities said that at least some of the money had been laundered through the Lebanese Canadian Bank, itself designated by the US Treasury as “a primary money-laundering concern.”

According to a lengthy exposé published by The New York Times, Joumaa is also “known to Israeli intelligence”, having allegedly been in contact with a member of Hezbollah’s elite 1,800 Unit that coordinates attacks against Israeli targets, and who, in turn, “worked for a senior operative who the Israelis believed handled Hezbollah’s drug operations.”

Joumaa allegedly concealed the drug money as legitimate income from a family-run company that resold American used cars in Africa.

The proceeds from the “car sales” were being funneled to the suspect bank via Beirut exchange houses where, investigators believe, modest earnings from actual car sales were intermingled with drug money.

According to the indictment, the money-laundering activities spanned at least four continents, with way-stations in the United States, Lebanon, Benin, Panama, Colombia, the Democratic Republic of Congo and elsewhere.”

It is still unclear, however, at what point in the process Hezbollah took its cut.

As revelations were made on Tuesday, US officials focused instead on the role of the trafficker – known as “Junior” – in the Mexican drug war.

“According to information from sources, his alleged drug and money-laundering activities facilitated numerous global drug trafficking organizations, including the criminal activities of the Los Zetas Mexican drug cartel,” US Drug Enforcement Administration Administrator Michele Leonhart said.

For years, members of the intelligence community have warned that the Iranian-supported terrorist organization is deepening its ties in Central and South America with an eye toward the tremendous income potential of the narcotics trade.

Hezbollah able to launch 600 missiles a day into Israel

All those missiles were made available to Hezbollah courtesy of the United Nations, who, while charged with the job of preventing Hezbollah’s rearming, deliberately turned a blind eye.

Jerusalem Post – Fearing unprecedented missile fire in a future war, the IDF has drafted plans to equip military forces operating on the northern front – Lebanon and Syria – with supplies and ammunition from bases in central and southern Israel.

The plans were recently approved by head of the IDF’s Logistics and Technology Directorate Maj.-Gen. Danny Biton.

The IDF assessment is that in a future war, Hezbollah will have the ability to fire up to 600 missiles and rockets into Israel on a daily basis, impairing the military’s ability to resupply its forces from bases in the North.

The equipment in these bases will likely only be made accessible after several days of fighting, once the IDF has succeeded in reducing the rocket fire into Israel. As a result, the IDF will need to equip its forces with supplies and ammunition that it has stored in bases farther south.

“IDF bases, particularly in the North, will be targeted in a future war and will make it difficult to draft reservists there and to take out supplies,” a senior officer said.

In addition, the IDF is also moving forward with plans to dig massive bunkers inside mountains throughout the country to protect sensitive and advanced equipment.

The multi-million-dollar plan was approved recently by the General Staff and construction is scheduled to begin in the coming months. An IDF delegation recently visited a number of countries that use similar mountain bunker systems, including South Korea.

Under the plan, the IDF will begin building a relatively small bunker of several thousand square meters inside a mountain whose location is classified. If the project is successful, it will enter the next phase, which includes building several more bunkers over the next few years.

Hezbollah fires katushas into Israel

Hezbollah fired katushas into northern Israel last night. The UN enablers at UNIFIL, who ensured that Hezbollah could smuggle in tens of thousands of rockets and missiles, is on the case.

Ynet – The IDF confirmed Tuesday that two Katyusha rockets were fired at the western Galilee from Lebanon on Monday night. No injuries were reported, but several structures sustained damage.

The IDF’s Northern Command has been placed on high alert following the fire. The military stressed that Israel holds the Lebanese government responsible for the indicent.

UNIFIL, which has a peacekeeping mission in southern Lebanon, has launched an investigation into the incident, but a spokesman for the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon was quoted by Beirut’s radio as saying that “UNIFIL rejects reports suggesting any violation of UN Resolution 1701 and is working to restore normalcy.” (more >>>)

The IDF assessment is that it is not Hezbollah, but rather al-Qaida or Palestinian terror groups who operate inside Lebanon that were behind the rocket fire, as has been the case in the past with isolated attacks.

Secret Hezbollah arms warehouse goes kaboom

Arutz Sheva – A secret Hizbullah terrorist warehouse exploded overnight near the coastal city of Tyre, located in southern Lebanon not far from Israel’s northern border, about 50 miles (80 kilometers) south of Beirut.

The blast occurred in an area under the control of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).

Nevertheless, Hizbullah forces have prevented security personnel from reaching the site, making it impossible to obtain any information about what actually happened.

A UNIFIL spokesman told reporters, “We have no information as yet,” in response to questions about the explosion. The international force is expected to investigate.

Hizbullah has boasted that the group possesses tens of thousands of missiles of varying ranges that it can aim at Israel whenever it chooses.

U.N. Resolution 1701, the ceasefire agreement that ended the Second Lebanon War in 2006, specifically prohibits Hizbullah from storing munitions or other ordnance in southern Lebanon.

Hezbollah sets up shop in Cuba

Ynet – Hezbollah has established a center of operations in Cuba in order to expand its terrorist activity and facilitate an attack on an Israeli target in South America, Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera reported.

According to Yedioth Ahronoth, the attack is meant to avenge the death of Hezbollah commander Imad Mughniyah. The organization alleges that Israel was behind his 2008 assassination.

According to the report, three Hezbollah members have already arrived in Cuba with the purpose of establishing a terrorist cell there. The cell is to include 23 operatives, hand-picked by Talal Hamia, a senior member tasked with heading the covert operation.

The operation, titled “The Caribbean Case,” was reportedly allocated a budget of $1.5 million. The Cuba base is to be initially used for logistics purposes, including intelligence collection, networking and document forgery.

Hezbollah has been active in South America for quite some time now, primarily in Paraguay, Brazil and Venezuela, the report notes.

The International community decided that Jews do not have the right to defend themselves, and so fought Hezbollah’s propaganda war for them.

Once the worthless ‘Resolution 1701′ was signed, the same International community, and especially the terrorist sympathizing United Nations, turned a blind eye to Hezbollah, ensuring that they, Syria, and Iran, were allowed to not only rebuild Hezbollah’s arsenal and army many times over, and with more sophisticated weaponry, but see to it that the Islamonazis took control of Lebanon itself.

Idfspokesperson - On July 12, 2006, Hezbollah terrorists killed three Israeli soldiers during an attack on an Israel Defense Forces (IDF) vehicle patrolling within Israeli territory alongside the Israel-Lebanon border. Two of the soldiers killed were taken into captivity by Hezbollah, whose attack instigated the outbreak of the Second Lebanon War—during which Israel significantly impaired Hezbollah’s military capabilities.

The war lasted 34 days and ended with the signing of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701. Although a partner to the resolution, Hezbollah has directly violated UN Resolution 1701—rearming and strengthening itself with weapons and training from the Syrian and Iranian regimes. Five years later, Hezbollah has returned to full, routine militant activity in southern Lebanon.

The IDF has produced an infographic presenting Hezbollah’s gross violations of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701. The resolution calls for Hezbollah to remain disarmed and bans paramilitary activity south of the Litani River. Hezbollah has blatantly disregarded UN Res. 1701, for example, in September 2010 Hezbollah operatives were caught transferring weapons from a weapons storage facility to a mosque in a neighboring village, following an explosion at the site.

Hezbollah threatens Israel over maritime borders and gas fields

Lebanon, which is really Hezbollahland now, is threatening Israel over maritime borders now that massive amounts of natural gas have been discovered off the coast of Israel.

The big babies says it’s theirs, and that Israel is “playing with fire” if Israel insists otherwise.

The Israeli Cabinet on Sunday ratified an agreement with Cyprus which sets Israel’s maritime borders. Lebanon has rejected the borders set by the two countries, claiming the state is impinging on its naval territory, but Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman said Israel would not cede “one centimeter.”

“We have already concluded an agreement on this issue with Cyprus… Lebanon, under pressure from Hezbollah, is looking for friction, but we will not give up any part of what is rightfully ours,” he said in a radio interview.

Arutz Sheva - Lebanon has warned Israel it is “playing with fire” by staking out energy claims in the Mediterranean Sea, where Beirut says Israel’s discoveries are in its territory.

The Israeli Cabinet, heading off another dispute similar to the Sheba Farms land dispute at the northern border, approved a “marine economic zone proposal” Sunday after Lebanon presented maps to the United Nations, marking maritime borders that would include part of the giant Leviathan and Tamar fields. The United Nations previously has refused to take repsonsiblity for marking the maritime borders.

The Lebanese daily As-Safir, in an article under the headline “War of Oil: Another Phase of Israeli Offense,” reported that Lebanese Minister of Energy and Water Joubran Bassil said Israel “is playing with fire “by violating Lebanon’s maritime border and oil rights.”

He added, “Obviously we will prevent any violation. However, in case of violation, Israel will not be the only damaged part, but also large companies that cooperate with it. We, in Lebanon, respect the rights of others, and we don’t want to violate the rights of others, but at the same time, we do not want someone to attack us. Lebanon will not give up its rights or its borders”

Israeli firms discovered the gas fields, which also are believed to hold large commercially viable oil deposits, two years ago. Afterwards, Lebanon said the discoveries are in its territory, and it recently has announced that a Norwegian company will start a seismic research offshore.

"Yo, Hezbollah scum..."

Hizbullah, with its eyes on the rich reserves, previously has threatened that Israel is risking war by planning to “steal” its offshore energy reserves.

Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon Sunday morning denied a report in the Haaretz newspaper that the United States already has backed the Lebanese position.

“The dispute over the border with Lebanon was created by the Lebanese,” he said on Army Radio. “It is incorrect that the Americans sided with Lebanon in this dispute. There are very objective and organized rules, and I think that Israel will have no problem proving its ownership of the maritime areas that are ostensibly in dispute.”

He also said that Israel has unsuccessfully tried to talk with Lebanese officials about maritime borders, despite the countries’ officially being enemy states. “We’ve been in contact with Lebanon for a very long time,” he explained. “We have an interest in demarcating and setting all the borders, but they refuse.”

“Even the current land border, which is recognized by the United Nations, [was demarcated] without Lebanese involvement or recognition,” Ayalon said. “After the huge gas reserves were discovered, they suddenly woke up. Now that they’ve suddenly sent maps, we have no choice but to set the borders ourselves.”

Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman charged that Lebanon is “under pressure from Hizbullah” and “is looking for friction.” He added that there are “very strong arguments under international law” that back Israel’s claims.

Foreign Affairs Committee Chair Ros-Lehtinen calls for cutting of aid to Lebanon’s new Hezbollah-infested government

I posted the other day about Lebanon’s PM Najib Mikati having formed a new government with a majority of Hezbollah terrorists. It was something that the mainstream media couldn’t be bothered to report on. They must be excused, however, as they were too busy defending Anthony Weiner and going through Sarah Palin’s email.

But, lucky for America that at least one person in congress can be counted on not to let such news just slip by. The ever-alert House Foreign Affairs Committee Chair Ileana Ros-Lehtinen isn’t taking the news sitting down. She calling for what should have been done a while ago - cutting all US aid to Lebanon’s new government. And for good measure, she wants to cut aid to the Palestinian Authority as long as it is allied with Hamas.

Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, congresswoman from Florida, is also going to introduce legislation that would withhold US contributions to any UN entity that recognizes a Palestinian state or upgrades the status of the PLO observer mission. We recently met Ros-Lehtinen here and here.

Cuban-born Ros-Lehtinen is the most senior Republican woman in the U.S. House, and was the first Republican woman elected to the House of Representatives from Florida. She is currently the chairwoman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee.

AFP-  A key US lawmaker called Monday for cutting all US aid to Lebanon’s new government, in which Hezbollah and its allies hold the majority, and to any Palestinian government in which Hamas is a partner.

“The US should immediately cut off assistance to the Lebanese government as long as any violent extremist group designated by the US as foreign terrorist organizations participates in it,” said House Foreign Affairs Committee Chair Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, a Republican and frequent White House critic.

Ros-Lehtinen warned in a statement that “Hezbollah and its cohorts will control the Lebanese government and likely benefit from the years of US assistance, including to the Lebanese military.”

“We cannot undo past mistakes, but we can learn from them and safeguard taxpayer dollars going forward,” she said.

It is the first time a coalition led by Hezbollah, which fought a deadly summer war with Israel in 2006 and is blacklisted in Washington as a terrorist organization, has dominated a government in Lebanon.

“The US should likewise stop funding the Palestinian Authority, where Hamas appears to be following in Hezbollah’s footsteps,” said Ros-Lehtinen.

“It is time for US assistance to truly advance our interests, rather than benefit the likes of Hezbollah, Hamas, and their partners,” she said.

Lebanon PM forms new cabinet with Hezbollah majority

Lebanon’s PM Najib Mikati formed a new government dominated by allies of Iranian-backed Hezbollah.

Lebanon’s leader says that the new government is committed to “liberating lands under Israeli occupation.”

Terrific.

No doubt Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton were the first to congratulate the PM for its capitulation to the terrorists. It means one less country that Obama will have to attack.

Jerusalem Post - Lebanon’s Prime Minister Najib Mikati announced on Monday a long-delayed new government dominated by allies of Iranian-backed Hezbollah, which is likely to cause alarm among Western powers.

Mikati was appointed to form a government after Hezbollah and its allies toppled Western-backed former premier Saad Hariri’s coalition in January over a dispute involving the UN-backed tribunal investigating the assassination of statesman Rafik al-Hariri, Saad’s father.

The Cabinet’s majority is made up of the Hezbollah-led March 8 coalition, and Mitaki was quoted as saying by the Lebanese Daily Star that the “government will be a government for all Lebanon and will work for all the Lebanese people without discrimination.”

“Let us go to work immediately according to the principles and basis that we have affirmed our commitment to several times, namely . . . defending Lebanon’s sovereignty and its independence and liberating land that remains under the occupation of the Israeli enemy,” Mikati said at the Baabda Presidential Palace.

Hezbollah has over 50,000 rockets stashed in 950 locations in some 100 villages aimed at Israeli citizens. Hamas, too, has thousands of rockets ready to fire at Israel.

Yet, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton insist that it is Jews building homes in their own capital city, not Hamas or Hezbollah, that is the biggest impediment to peace.

If only Israel shrank back to its indefensible 1949 armistice lines and handed over half of Jerusalem and all the Jewish and Christian holy sites therein to the terrorists, then, maybe, just maybe, Hezbollah, Hamas, Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades, Islamic Jihad, and Fatah will quit trying to destroy the Jewish State.

The odds are six-million to one that the Arabs would make peace, but for Obama and Clinton, the sound of that number has a nice ring to it.

JPost — The IDF has identified thousands of Hezbollah sites throughout Lebanon, making its “target bank” many times larger than it was in 2006 on the eve of the Second Lebanon War, a senior IDF officer told The Jerusalem Post ahead of the fifth anniversary of the start of the conflict.

According to the officer, the IDF had approximately 200 pre-designated targets on July 12, 2006, when Hezbollah set off the war by abducting reservists Eldad Regev and Ehud Goldwasser. Those targets included close to 100 homes and other storage sites where the Islamist group had deployed long-range missiles it received from Iran. The targets were destroyed on the first night of the war.

Today the bank has thousands more sites throughout Lebanon that would constitute legitimate targets in the event of a future war with Hezbollah, the officer told the Post. Earlier this year, the IDF released a map showing 950 locations scattered across the country — a majority of them bunkers and surveillance sites.

According to the officer, Hezbollah is also believed to have passed the 50,000 mark in the number of rockets and missiles it has obtained. Most of these weapons are stored in some 100 villages around southern Lebanon.

Arutz Sheva – The Hizbullah terrorist organization has an arsenal bigger than that of most countries, according to outgoing U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates.

The Lebanon-based terrorist group has at least 550 bunkers, 300 surveillance sites and 100 other bases, according to a map publicized two months ago by Israel.

According to the map produced by Israel’s military intelligence, one of the bunkers is even located inside a mosque. “Our interest is to show the world that the Hizbullah organization has turned these villages into fighting zones,” a senior military commander told the newspaper.

“Hizbullah cruise missiles could threaten U.S. ships with anti-ship missiles with a range of 65 miles,” Gates told a gathering at the American Enterprise Institute on Wednesday.

He warned that the terrorist group may also have acquired biological and chemical weapons, according to CNN.

Hezbollah sets up base on U.S.-Mexico border

Considering that Mexico is the biggest killing grounds in the world right now, I suppose it’s only fitting that Hezbollah would find Mexghanistan a welcoming place.

So what is the Obama regime going to do about it?

Nothin’.

10 News.com – A terrorist organization whose home base is in the Middle East has established another home base across the border in Mexico.

“They are recognized by many experts as the ‘A’ team of Muslim terrorist organizations,” a former U.S. intelligence agent told 10News.

[...] “We are looking at 15 or 20 years that Hezbollah has been setting up shop in Mexico,” the agent told 10News.

Since the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, U.S. policy has focused on al-Qaida and its offshoots.

“They are more shooters than thinkers … it’s a lot of muscles, courage, desire but not a lot of training,” the agent said, referring to al-Qaida.

Hezbollah, he said, is far more advanced.

“Their operators are far more skilled … they are the equals of Russians, Chinese or Cubans,” he said. “I consider Hezbollah much more dangerous in that sense because of strategic thinking; they think more long-term.”

Hezbolah has operated in South America for decades and then Central America, along with their sometime rival, sometime ally Hamas.

Now, the group is blending into Shi’a Muslim communities in Mexico, including Tijuana. Other pockets along the U.S.-Mexico border region remain largely unidentified as U.S. intelligence agencies are focused on the drug trade.

“They have had clandestine training in how to live in foreign hostile territories,” the agent said.

The agent, who has spent years deep undercover in Mexico, said Hezbollah is partnering with drug organizations, but which ones is not clear at this time.

He told 10News the group receives cartel cash and protection in exchange for Hezbollah expertise.

According to the IDF, Hezbollah is estimated to have an arsenal of more than 40,000 rockets. If war were to break out, it is estimated that Hezbollah will be able to launch between 500 and 600 rockets at Israel every day.

(AP) – Hezbollah’s leader told his Shiite guerrilla group Wednesday to be prepared to invade northern Israel, a day after Israel’s defense minister warned that the quiet along the tense border could erupt into violence.

The comments by the two sides illustrate the fragile situation along the frontier since they Israel and Hezbollah fought a bitter, six-week war in the summer of 2006. The war ended in a U.N.-brokered truce but officials on both sides of the border believe it is only a matter of time before hostilities resume.

“I tell the holy warriors of the Islamic Resistance to be ready for a day when, if war is imposed on us, your command might ask you to control the Galilee area,” Hezbollah leader Sheik Hassan Nasrallah said in a televised speech Wednesday. The Galilee refers to land in northern Israel.

On Tuesday, Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak toured the Israeli military’s northern command and told soldiers there that the quiet along the frontier might not last.

“This is not forever and it could under certain conditions deteriorate, and then you will have to be called on again, with everything you learned in training,” he said. “Today the units are better trained and more prepared but there is always more to be done and you need to be ready for every test.”   (more >>>)

Hezbollah is angry that Florida Pastor Terry Jones proved his point that Muslims are hopelessly violent.

According to the FBI, the terrorist group Hezbollah is offering $2.4 million for Pastor Terry Jones’s head. Rampaging Muslims in Afghanistan and the murder of dozens, including 2 beheadings is not enough revenge for the religion of peace and perpetual outrage.

$2.4 million, now that’s some serious cash. But who believes for a second that a) Hezbollah would actually pay up, and b) that even if someone carried out the murder, that the killer would ever collect? Surely the terrorist would be caught, tried, convicted, and hung.

Oh wait, Obama is President and Eric Holder is Attorney General… Silly me. Nevermind.

ABC News (h/t Weasel Zippers) - Terry Jones, the Florida pastor who supervised the burning of the Koran last month, said he’s not backing down after receiving death threats.

Jones said he feels no responsibility for the violence sparked by his church’s action, including the violent protest at a United Nations complex in Afghanistan Saturday that left at least 11 people dead – and 20 killed in weekend violence.

…Of Saturday’s violence, Jones said it proved his point.

“We wanted to raise awareness of this dangerous religion and dangerous element,” Jones said. “I think [today's attack] proves that there is a radical element of Islam.”

While Jones does not plan on any future Koran burnings, the death threats are streaming in.

“Right now we have a little over 300 threats, today 10 threats have come in,” Jones said.

Some threats are so specific that they name date time and place.

The FBI said Hezbollah has a $2.4 million bounty on his head.

But Jones and his assistant Wayne Sapp, the man who actually soaked the Koran in kerosene and burned it, said they’re not afraid and are willing to die for their beliefs.

“We see growth around the world – we feel very strongly for U.S. – United States, U.N. to stand up and do something…Muslim countries must open doors to freedom in,” Jones said.

IDF prepares for multi-front war

The IDF held a set of war games this week aimed at preparing the military for all-out war against Hezbollah, Syria and Hamas.

It’s not a matter of if but when the Arabs will launch a new war against Israel. The terrorists have learned that the world will never allow them to be defeated. The terrorists know that Obama, the U.S. State Department, the EU, and the UN have their back, and that every war they launch will result in a propaganda coup, thanks to the mainstream media, who supports in every manner the death of Israelis.

Jerusalem Post – In the face of a changing Middle East, the IDF held a set of war games this week aimed at preparing the military for all-out war against Hezbollah, Syria and Hamas.

The exercise did not include soldiers or live-fire exercises, but was held to drill commanders and their decisions in the event of a large-scale war on multiple fronts.

The exercise was the first overseen by new Chief of General Staff Lt.-Gen. Benny Gantz. It was organized by Maj.-Gen. Gershon Hacohen, head of the IDF Colleges.

The IDF stressed that the drill was part of the military’s routine exercise program and included all of its various branches – ground, air and navy – with an emphasis on interoperability and operational continuity.

The scenarios simulated during the drill included a war with Hezbollah in Lebanon, sparked by a terrorist attack overseas as well as the involvement of Syria, Hamas and Iran.

“The drill is part of our need to retain a level of readiness,” Gantz said.

Defense Minister Ehud Barak and members of the Knesset’s Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee visited the base where the exercise was held, even though the political echelon did not play an active role in the war games.

Hacohen said the exercise was meant to prepare the IDF for a future war in light of the recent changes in the region.

Hezbollah’s 1000 bunkers

They're not called Islamonazis for nothing.

Under the very protective eye of the United Nations, Lebanon, and Syria, and beyond the deliberately turned eye of the United States, Hezbollah, one of the world’s worst terrorist groups has managed to build, fortify, and stock nearly 1000 underground bunkers with the sole intention of using them to destroy Israel.

The Israeli IDF has released a map detailing the location of these sites.

Worse yet, these bunkers were purposely located near hospitals, private homes and schools in order to ensure worldwide outrage when the day comes that Israel will be forced to try and destroy them.

According to the IDF:

Hezbollah is estimated to have an arsenal of more than 40,000 rockets. This being the case, if war breaks out, Hezbollah will be able to launch between 500 and 600 rockets at Israel every day. One of the organization’s main civilian centers for storing munitions is the village of Al Khiyam in southern Lebanon, where hundreds of rockets and mortar shells with varying ranges are stored. More than 100 Hezbollah militants operate in the village, including special forces ready for combat with IDF soldiers.

Hezbollah militant activities are based in southern Lebanon, funded and maintained by Syria and Iran. All of these are in direct violation to the UN Security Council’s 1701 decision, carried out on August 12th, 2006, at the end of the Second Lebanon War.

Of course, when Israel was pressured by the U.S. and others to let up on Hezbollah and agree to the Security Council decision, everyone in Israel knew that nobody would lift a finger to enforce it, including the U.S.. The sole purpose of the decision was to save Hezbollah’s ass and buy the Islamonazis time to try again, only next time with much greater firepower.

Washington Post — The Israeli military on Thursday released a map detailing what it says are nearly 1,000 underground bunkers, weapons storage facilities and monitoring sites built by the militant Hezbollah guerrillas in southern Lebanon.

Many of the sites on the map are located south of the Litani River in Lebanon, the zone where Hezbollah is banned from keeping weapons under the U.N.-sponsored truce that ended Israel’s summer 2006 war with the guerrilla group.

An article on the military spokesman’s website says Hezbollah has set up some 550 bunkers, 300 monitoring sites and 100 weapons storage facilities. The facilities are located in 270 villages, and many are located near hospitals, private homes and schools, the military said in a statement published on its website. (keep reading >>)

Beirut ‘flash mob’ hopes to keep airport free from Hezbollah

Over at the Weekly Standard, Middle East expert Lee Smith writes of a different kind of Arab uprising in Lebanon. In the piece he speaks about a popular and seemingly innocuous ‘flash mob’ video that takes place in Beirut’s Rafiq Hariri International Airport. He seems to think the video and ad agency behind it have another message besides the promotion of Beirut Duty Free.

The dancers and faces are young and handsome, and put on a fun, lively show. We don’t know if they are Muslim or Christian Arabs, but if I had to guess, I’d bet mostly the latter.

Weekly Standard (Lee Smith) After two months of Arabs spontaneously taking to the streets to protest against their regimes, there’s another kind of uprising going on here in Lebanon. The setting isn’t even an Arab street, but rather Beirut’s Rafiq Hariri International Airport; and the occasion isn’t a protest, but rather a “flash mob” executing a traditional Lebanese song and dance routine, “Dabke.”

Most of the dancers are professionals, hired by M&C Saatchi MENA, to promote their client, Beirut Duty Free, while others swept up by the emotion just joined in. The aim of the spot, some Saatchi employees explain, was to leave passengers with a memory of Lebanon they could take with them on their journey. Hence, Saatchi says there’s nothing political about an ad that’s become something of an international YouTube sensation.

That’s true, but given the nature of the airport there are bound to be political resonances. Or, compare the “Dabke” video to footage of this recent Hezbollah show of force at the same airport, where numerous Hezbollah security vehicles are rushing the entrance to meet one of their allies, Jamil al-Sayyid. This was one of the four Lebanese generals once detained for his suspected involvement in the February 2005 assassination of the man the airport is named after.

Claire Berlinsky at Ricochet adds:

Now, as Smith notes, the airport is effectively controlled by Hezbollah. Retaining control over that airport is essential to Iran. For obvious reasons.

The only thing I’d add is that Saatchi is the ad firm that brought Margaret Thatcher to power and kept her there. They’re not stupid.

So you bet they understood what they were doing with this ad.

It’s long been known that while America and the West pick their noses, Hezbollah has been hard at work expanding their terrorist empire at the behest of Iran.

They have infiltrated Central and South America, and with the full consent and backing of the United Nations, have been strengthening their both their grip and their arsenal in Lebanon.

New reports detail Hezbollah’s filthy hands in Mexico and along the U.S. border. Janet Napolitano just the other week insisted that the borders are under control and safer and more secure than ever.

She is a liar, of course, and everyone who takes the issue seriously knows it. But, she has the backing of Obama’s state-run media, so she is never publicly challenged.

Fox – “Hezbollah are absolute masters at identifying existing smuggling infrastructures,” says former DEA Chief of Operations Mike Braun, adding that the group “is developing relations with those responsible for operating those smuggling operations and then forming close relations with them, so that they can move anything they have an interest into virtually anywhere in the world.” That comment comes from former DEA Chief of Operations Mike Braun. He goes on to tell me that the Middle East terror group is “rubbing shoulders” with drug cartels around the globe.

My military and Department of Homeland Security contacts are insistent…it’s not if Hezbollah operatives have been smuggled into the U.S….but how many? They note that drug tunnels are becoming much more sophisticated and striking similar as tunnels being used by terror organizations to smuggle weapons into the Gaza Strip. My contacts also say they have real concern that bombing techniques used in the Middle East to promote terror are now also being used inside Mexico, as the cartels war with each other and anyone in their way.

[...] This comes as Mexican authorities busted a senior Hezbollah operative who employed Mexicans nationals with family ties to Lebanon to set up the network, designed to target Israel and the West, according to multiple reports. The man’s name is Jameel Nasr and he was arrested after a Mexican surveillance operation revealed that he traveled frequently to Lebanon to receive information and instructions from Hezbollah commanders and he also spent several months in Venezuela working with the terror group and Hugo Chavez’s people. American security contacts say the Mexican operation was impressive and they are seeing some increased pressure on the cartels from Mexican authorities and thus…their friends.  (whole thing plus video >>)

Oh, now, this can’t be true. Never mind that Hezbollah’s been working for years to establish a presence in the western hemisphere, or that a congressional report from a few years ago claimed that they’ve already tried touse the Mexican border to cross into America. And never mind the report that circulated last summer about a Hezbollah operative being arrested in Tijuana. If all that’s true then conservatives are right about weak borders being a national security risk, and they … simply can’t be right.

Meanwhile, as Hezbollah infiltrates America and lays the ground work for a ‘surprise’ (as that is how the government and media will surely refer to it) that will make 9/11 look like a hold up at a 7-Eleven in comparison, reports indicate that Iran is also using Hezbollah to squash Iranian protestors.

(Ynet) – (h/t Weasel Zippers) Two people were killed Sunday during protests in two Tehran squares, unofficial reports suggest. At least five people were injured in Shiraz. The protestors are marking one week to the death of two demonstrators.

Meanwhile, Iranian exiles reported that Hezbollah has joined the security forces in suppressing the protests. Opposition groups claimed that as many as 1,500 Hezbollah operatives are taking part in clashes. Members of the terrorist organization, which reportedly receives training and aid from Iran, assisted the authorities to disperse the demonstration in Tehran’s Azadi Square last week.

The Iran-Hezbollah threat has been purposefully kept under a pillow of political correctness and away from the eyes and ears of the American people by the past four administrations.

By doing so, the American government has allowed the threat to metastasize to a magnitude that is nearly uncontainable without the use of massive force.

No administration, however, has been as complacent as the Obama Administration, who has sat on its thumbs, not once but twice, while the Iranian people sought to overthrow the vile Islamonazi government of Iran.

This will come back to haunt to America. The Islamonazis never rest, and they take their mission dead serious.
