Allen West via Weasel Zippers – If America reelects Barack Obama to a second term, we deserve all the pain and misery that will ensue.
Last night’s speech by Barack Obama was a weak plea for another four years to decimate our economy, retard our energy security future, and reduce the greatest fighting force known to the world.
It was a complete and utter failure.
In Barack Obama’s own words he stated that if he could not turn this economy around in four years he would be a one-term proposition. He also stated that he would cut the deficit in half, yet we have had four years of trillion-dollar-plus deficits.
This morning we found out, again, that we are still at 8% or higher unemployment for 43 straight months. This comes knowing that we were promised by Barack Obama unemployment never higher than 8% with the almost trillion dollar stimulus. We have the lowest workforce participation rate in 31 years…Obama will tout a decrease in unemployment from 8.3% to 8.1%, but that is a scam.
We have 368,000 people who have been dropped from the labor accountability rolls. We only added 96, 000 jobs to our economy in August. If America reelects Barack Obama to a second term, we deserve all the pain and misery that will ensue.
Freedom Works – Allen West dropped by the Blogger Hangout at the RNC Convention on August 30, and was very gracious with his time. On his legislative agenda for 2013, he discussed tax reform and regulatory reform as a means to unleash small business success. He took a quick little shot at Harry Reid too, challenging him to pass the job creating legislation that has been blocked from a full vote at the Senate.
I asked him about Sen. McCain’s Convention remarks about the current state of the Middle East. He came out in strong defense of Prime Minister Netanyahu and Israel’s right as a sovereign nation to take action to protect itself from Iran, and he made a point of stating that America needs to take a supportive role in relation to its allies in the region. He paints a bleak picture of what’s going on in the region due to a lack of American leadership.
Finally, he states that the reason that the momentum is on the side of the GOP is because we are talking about principles, stating that when Republicans stand on Conservative values and talk about the Constitution, we win.
The choice is Florida is between brains and guts, and a racist Democrat hack. West is playing it clean and upright. His opponent, however, is scraping the gutter.
If Republicans ran an ad showing Obama (or any black Democrat) beating up white people and stealing money the media would go berserk. Where is the media calling “dog whistle?” Will Chris Matthews come on the air with his slavering outrage?
My guess is that not only will the idiotic, lie-infested ad backfire on Florida Democrats, it will send millions of conservative and Independent dollars Colonel West’s way. Liberalism is truly a mental disease.
Shark Tank – The American Sunrise PAC has launched its first attack ad against Congressman Allen West. The political action committee was founded by the father of Congressman West’s general election opponent Democrat Patrick Murphy.
Thomas Murphy Jr. is the CEO of a Miami-based Coastal Construction Group, and he has already kicked in $250,000(Source) into the PAC. But now those funds have been employed in the creation of a questionable ad that depicts West as a boxer who smacks around women and takes money away from middle class families.
The ad slyly uses a caricature of West and portrays him as a bully who hits women – more specifically, a white women – while he grabs money away from a “middle class” family that just happens to be a black family.

It’s a typically misleading ad from a liberal SuperPAC against a principled conservative – of course, it’s always women and minorities who are hardest hit by conservatives’ policies – never mind that it’s West who is the one on the front lines trying to bring an end to our fiscal recklessness and entitlement mentality that Democrats will give their last breath to defend.
Hah. If Allen West were the Republican candidate, America would actually have a chance of surviving.
Gateway Pundit – Rep. Allen West (R-FL) upset members of the radical Black Caucus after he sent Chick-fil-A to a weekly meeting. CBC Chairman Rep. Alcee Hastings (D-FL) told The Huffington Post that, despite the incident happening six months ago, it is still fresh in their minds and every member was offended.
Today Rep. Allen West responded to Alcee Hastings and the Black Caucus. “When I brought in the Chick-fil-A… at the end of the meeting, there was nothing left.”
If we had 50 Allen Wests in Washington then we could save America. Unfortunately, there is only one Allen Wests plus a handful of others who share his passion.
Great speech. Per usual, West speaks effortlessly without notes or a Teleprompter. Man, what we wouldn’t give to be able to see Allen West debate the Stutterer-in-Chief one on one.

Shark Tank – The progressives who attended Congressman Allen West’s town hall meeting managed to drop some choice questions on the good Congressman. One of the questions was about an alleged Article 15 hearing that he supposedly received in the Army- never mind the fact that West never received an Article 15 hearing before leaving the Army- West left the military with full honors and his pension.
West took a bit of an issue with the question, and posed one of his own to his detractors-

The Hill (via Weasel Zippers) — Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.) criticized the FBI on Monday for removing nearly 900 pages of training material it deemed to be offensive, saying it showed extremist Muslim groups were influencing national strategy.
The FBI made the move after Sen. Dick Durbin (R-Ill.) complained about some passages, including one that advised agents to “never attempt to shake hands with an Asian” and another that said agents should expect “outbursts” from Arab minds.
West said the by removing such passages, the FBI was committing “cultural suicde” and allowing groups like the Muslim Brotherhood to influence U.S. policy.
“We have to understand that when tolerance becomes a one-way street it leads to cultural suicide,” West told Fox and Friends on Monday. “We should not allow the Muslim Brotherhood or associated groups to be influencing our national strategy.”
When asked if he believed those groups were influencing U.S. strategy, West responded, “oh, absolutely,” and cited the Fort Hood shootings report that didn’t mention the suspect’s Muslim faith as a potential motive for the killings.

Colonel Allen Awesome, er, West, spoke at a tax day rally in Wellington, Florida on April 15, 2012. He gave a rousing, must-watch speech. West calls “Barack Hussein Obama” an “abject failure,” “crazy,” and pokes good fun at the Obama tanning tax.
The Colonel pulls no punches and made the kind of contrast between conservatism and Obamism that few politicians on the right are either capable of making, or have the courage of making. West sees right through the Leftists’ games, and isn’t afraid to say so. He knows exactly who these Marxist 5th column traitors are.

That’s just congress, if we knew about the vast administrative bureaucracy, there is no doubt that the number would be in the hundreds. Throw in the courts, academia, Hollywood, and the rest of the Democrat media complex and, well, let’s just say that America’s Marxist-in-Chief has no shortage of comrades to cheer him on.
Now get ready for every RINO in America to come down on West for speaking the truth. The Republican establishment can never find a single spitwad to toss at Obama or any Democrat, but when it comes to attacking conservatives, they can be as ruthless as any Democrat.

According to this tweet, a spokesperson for Allen West said he was referring to the Progressive Caucus when he said 80 members of the House are communists. Meanwhile, a reader e-mailed me to note that it is beyond any kind of dispute that a number of House Democrats are members of the The Democratic Socialists of America. In 2009, DSA released the names of 70 such Democrats, many of whom still serve in the House.

(The Hill) — The co-chairmen of the Congressional Progressive Caucus called comments made by Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.) reminiscent of McCarthyism.
West said Tuesday he heard a rumor that about 80 Democratic members of Congress were in the Communist Party. West declined to give names.
Rep. Raul Grijalva (D-Ariz.) and Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minn.) compared West’s comment to Sen. Joe McCarthy (R-Wis.) who in 1950 said he had a list of communists in government.
“Calling fellow Members of Congress ‘communists’ is reminiscent of the days when Joe McCarthy divided Americans with name-calling and modern-day witch hunts that don’t advance policies to benefit people’s lives,” the co-chairs wrote in the statement on Wednesday.
Today on Capitol Hill there are lots of J-Street (Pro-Palestinian Jewish Organization) representatives, of course several have recognized me and wanted to chat. I just have to shake my head when these citizens ask me to believe in Iran and support a two-state solution. When I ask them if there is a willing peace partner on the other side, they respond by saying yes.
