Video: Glenn Beck exposes vicious anti-Semite

On GBTV yesterday, Glenn Beck again warned of the rise of anti-Semitism in America. He plays a recent call to a sponsor of a Holocaust museum that is filled with vile attacks on Jews.

Video: Glenn Beck exposes the Palestinian propaganda and incitement machine

Only Glenn Beck has the courage and integrity to expose the Palestinians to the American public for the psychotic death cult that they are.

Wednesday, on Beck’s GBTV, he invited Itamar Marcus, Founder and Director of Palestinian Media Watch, to discuss Palestinian brainwashing, and how their children are being brought up to know nothing but lies and hatred. Some graphic video is used.

Glenn Beck exposes anti-Semitism on U.S. campuses, and the return of the 1930s

This is a clip from Wednesday’s episode of Glenn Beck’s new (and excellent) GBTV. The entire show dealt with the rise of anti-Semitism, and the Iranian threat. He seeks to explain how and why the world is repeating the same mistakes, and that it is the 1930s again.

Glenn Beck is the only prominent figure in America with the guts to discuss this stuff.

Glenn Beck shakes the pillars of heaven in final rally for ‘Restoring Courage’

My review of Glenn Beck’s 3rd rally. For my review of the first of the three, click here.

(Video clips and updates at the bottom.)

Glenn Beck’s third and final rally for his ambitious ‘Restoring Courage’ project took place today at the southern end of the Temple Mount in Jerusalem’s Old City. An additional big screen live feed broadcast was held at a much larger venue about a mile away, just off Yafo road. That’s where I was. Every seat was filled. As in the other shows, this one, too, contained a delightful mix of speakers, videologues, and lovely music.

First of all, let it be known that in this rally, as with the prior two, Glenn and his participants were always respectful and dignified. The affection they demonstrated for Israel and the Jewish people was absolutely sincere, and touched the heart of every fellow Israeli I spoke with that had attended.

Each rally was terrific—informative, entertaining, inspired, and inspiring. The final one, whose theme was courage, was especially powerful. It began with an original musical composition that blended the three Abrahamic traditions into one beautiful and stirring piece. The composition even incorporated the blowing of the shofar, or ram’s horn, which, at such a holy spot, no doubt strummed the deepest chords in every Jew’s heart who was there. I know it did mine.

Glenn saved his major address for this final show. It was deeply moving, filled with hope and encouragement. (Full transcript here.) The audience, made up of both Christians and Jews, erupted into applause dozens of times, including a number of standing ovations.

Beck skillfully intertwined various Biblical tropes in his speech, but the metaphor of the ‘pillar of fire’ that led and protected the Israelites during their wandering in Sinai was particularly effective. The message, as I chose to interpret it, was that the pillar of fire, never really vanished when the Israelites left Sinai. It still travels in the heart and soul of every individual who consciously chooses right over wrong, justice over injustice, love over hate, and good over evil. Truth is the fire, and all that is required to reignite that flame is the courage to choose.

The leftwing media is going to pan and downplay the event, distort what took place, and ridicule him and those who attended, but that’s a given. They don’t get Glenn Beck and never will. He is a threat to them, because he dares to speak the truth. Worse still, he dares to defy the narratives the media tries to program us with; one of the worst being, their villainously dishonest and immoral representation of Israel.

In none of Beck’s rallies did he venture into prescriptive politics. The three themes he chose were love, remembering, and courage, themes that few politicians know anything about anyway.

But this doesn’t mean he didn’t speak his mind, and do so with conviction. When he struck at the idiocy that passes for enlightened commentary or politics, he did so with raw, unambiguous honesty:

“Some may ask: Why not leave this work up to others – the well-connected and well-educated and well-heeled, our political leaders or the media?
Well, I ask you: Whom do you trust to do this sacred work?
Who will protect your rights better? A king, president or you?
Who will protect the truth? A reporter, producer or you?
Who will protect and teach your children to seek truth? A textbook committee, an education bureaucrat, or you?
Did a commission of wise men stop the Holocaust? Did a committee of Congress end Jim Crow?”

Beck has neither patience nor respect for the “international community,” or the contemptible United Nations, nor especially the UN’s hypocritical and corrupt Human Rights Commission. He was probably referring to the upcoming Durban 3 when he said this:

“Far too many politicians are willing to look away. The shape shifters are at work. They have turned day into night, good into evil. They have changed the very meaning of words.
In New York, the so-called leaders of the world talk about abuses of human rights. But what they will do is abuse the very meaning of the phrase “human rights.”
“Human rights,” they say. But who will they focus on? Libya? Syria? North Korea? No.
They will condemn Israel. Tiny Israel. Democratic Israel. Free Israel. Israel, which values life above all other things.
Israel, as usual, is the exception.”

“These international councils, these panels of so-called diplomats, condemn Israel not because they believe Israel needs to be corrected. They do so because it is convenient.
Everyone does it. In some countries, it’s a crime not to.”

Diplomats and other sanctimonious moral midgets also received Beck’s righteous wrath. Of them he said:

“The diplomats are afraid, and so they submit. They surrender to falsehood. The truth matters not. To the keepers of conventional wisdom, a sacrifice of the truth is a small price to pay. What difference does it make if we beat up on little Israel? These are the actions of the fearful and cowards.
But I stand here to tell you this: Fear is the pathway to surrender. And to overcome fear, we must have courage.”

Every speaker at each event was excellent, but one stood out at Wednesday’s: A Christian Arab pastor in Bethlehem. This man was the perfect example of courage. He dared to bless Israel, and to speak some hard truths about the mentality of hate that infuses this part of the world. I’m sure nearly every person in the audience was awed by his bravery, and equally feared for his life. What he did and said took tremendous guts. May Hashem look after him and his family.

The renowned Israeli singer, Dudu Fisher, capped the evening with a stirring rendition of the song ‘Sabbath Prayer,’ from Fiddler on the Roof. It was the perfect song by a powerful voice for the end of a profoundly inspiring evening.

Losers.

The far-Left radical Israeli group of losers and lunatics known as ‘Peace Now’ showed up to protest. Here are these pathetic clowns.

Speaking of losers, Liberal rag, Haaretz, live-blogged the event. You can skim through the minute by minute progress of the show, here. The writers are full of snark and condescension, but that is to be expected from the smug Leftists at Haaretz.

There were counterprotestors, too, however; Israelis who came out to support Beck, and challenge the nutjobs. Watch The below video of Dr. Simcha Shalom Brooks, a Jewish academic focusing on Biblical history and archaeology defending Glenn Beck. Listen to the shocking revelation she mentions near the end about how she was treated by fellow academics in Britain once they learned she had expressed support for Glenn Beck’s rally.

Glenn Beck holds 2nd of 3 rallies – ‘Courage to Remember’

Last night Glenn Beck held the second of the three major rallies for his week of ‘Restoring Courage’ in Israel. I attended the first one in Caesaria, which you can read about here.

For photos and video excerpts of ‘Courage to Remember’, go here, to Glenn’s website, The Blaze. A lot more photos here.

Each rally has a theme. Last night’s was ‘Courage to Remember,’ which focussed on the Holocaust and other sufferings and calamities. I watched it on GBTV, and it was another terrific and inspiring rally.

The Blaze – The second night of the “Restoring Courage” events in Israel took place the Old Train Station in Jerusalem.

“An amazing land, an amazing people,“ Glenn Beck said as he began the program he entitled “Courage to Remember.”  The program focused on the Holocaust and the lessons that need to be newly learned today.

Rabbi Moshe Rothchild opened with a prayer tying the evening‘s location to the evening’s theme:

“Tonight as we gather beside these old train tracks in Jerusalem, we remember another set of tracks. The tracks that led our brothers and sisters to the infamous places of Auschwitz, Birkenau, Buchenwald, Majdanek, Treblinka and Sobibor…and all the places of death and darkness.
We pray that our gathering her tonight should bring forth healing and light.”

This clip includes the initial remarks by Beck and Rabbi Rothchild:

Jon Voight

Beck then introduced actor Jon Voight, who’s talk veered from comical accounts of his attempts at dancing to Jewish tunes, to deeply serious stories of his work in Israel with victims wounded by suicide bombers.  “What I witnessed would tear my heart out,” he said.  “I feel completely outraged for anyone who would make any excuse for this kind of barbarism.  And I feel complete contempt for anyone who is not intelligent enough to see that this propaganda in the media, painting the Palestinians as poor victims, is capable of destroying the Jewish nation in Israel.”

The main part of the program featured a screening of a very personal documentary, “Kleiner Rudy,” which tells the family story of filmmaker Michelle Stein Teer.  She chronicles her grandfather’s return, at age 85, to the German town of Norden where he lost his own father and thirty members of his family the Holocaust.

After the screening Beck led a panel discussion including Michelle Stein Teer, Rabbi David Greenblatt of United With Israel, David Brog of Christians United for Israel, and auther Mike Evans who‘s emotional life story was a highlight of the first evening’s program in Caesarea.

Glenn Beck in Caesarea – an evening of brotherly love and support for Israel

Here’s my first-hand account of Glenn Beck’s ‘Restoring Love’ rally in Caesaria yesterday. (Some video below.)

With a backdrop of ancient ruins and a timeless sea, Glenn Beck’s first of three major rallies was a powerful and stirring  show of support for Israel and the Jewish people.

The theme of this rally was ‘Restoring Love,’ signally what Beck hopes will begin a new bond of love and friendship between Christians and Jews.

The exuberant audience of some 3000, about all the ancient outdoor theater can hold, was treated to an evening of music, short videologues, and stirring speeches, all set in a place of historic significance to both Christians and Jews.

The speakers included faith leaders Rabbi Shlomo Riskin, Pastor Mullins, and Pastor John Hagee, and other supporters of Israel. All were terrific, and each expressed both a profound love for Israel and its significance in the world, as well as the need for Christians and Jews to come together and stand as one in these difficult days.

Glenn, of course, was the main attraction, and the audience’s love and respect for him was palpable; his sincerity in his mission to fight and stand with Israel, undeniable.

The rally was completely apolitical. Neither Glenn nor any of the speakers ventured into the realm of politics, rather, they sought to rise above the politicians and other troublemakers. The closest he came to politics was when he declared, “The God of Abraham ain’t running for office.”

Aware that many critics and foes are accusing him of inserting “chaos and mayhem,” into the Middle East, Beck said, “It’s the Middle East — how would they know!” The joke got a huge round of laughter.

As is his nature, Glenn choked and teared up a number of times during the evening, sometimes when introducing a guest, and other times when searching for the right words to express his deep-seated feelings. He ended the evening by asking the audience to “Honor these people who have honored God for so long.”

The evening was a success at every level, but only a preview of the two bigger rallies to come in Jerusalem, on Tuesday and Wednesday. Kol hakavod to you, Glenn Beck, and thank you for all you are doing.

Glenn Beck to Israel: You’re right, don’t doubt it

Light blogging today as I’m about to head out to the first of Glenn Beck’s three ‘Restoring Courage’ ralleys this week. I hope to have something to report on it tomorrow.

The ralleys come at a time when Israel is under bombardment from Arab terrorists in Gaza, and having suffered a terrible attack near Eilat. Beck’s message to Israel is to “square your shoulders,” know that you are in the right, and that you are not alone.

Arutz Sheva – Glenn Beck says he has no doubt that Israel is right in the struggle against the Arab world and cannot understand hesitant Israelis.

The popular conservative television personality and commentator is in Israel in preparation for the massive “Restoring Courage” rallies on Wednesday.

“I have no doubt that Israel is right,” he said, adding that Israel has no reason to question Israel’s fight for its very existence.

Israel Hayom also had a piece on Beck today:

Israel Hayom – Glenn Beck, the conservative American broadcaster, and one of Israel’s staunchest supporters, arrived in Israel on August 14 to prepare for a rally he organized under the banner of “Restoring Courage,” scheduled to take place on Wednesday in Jerusalem.

Speaking to Israel Hayom at his Jerusalem Hotel, Beck said that he doesn’t understand how some people in Israel doubt the justification of Israel’s actions in its struggle for survival. “I have no doubt that Israel is the justified side in the conflict,” said Beck. According to Beck, the aim of the event in Jerusalem is to bolster Israel’s image in the eyes of the world and to let Israel know, as the Palestinian bid for statehood in the U.N. General Assembly this September approaches, that it is not alone.

Beck is not expecting crowds like were seen at the “Restoring Honor” rally last summer in Washington, where half a million people joined him opposite the Lincoln Memorial. But he believes that what counts in Jerusalem is the venue and the quality of the people there, not the quantity. “Jerusalem is a powerful symbol not only for Jews, but for Christians as well,” Beck said.

Beck is willing to divulge only this about the rally: That it will be divided into two separate events – one at the Davidson Arch in Jerusalem’s Old City, and the other at Safra Square near the Jerusalem Municipality.

U.S. news outlets are joining the Israeli media in covering event preparations. Beck, a former prominent Fox News personality, has been mentioned regularly in Fox News reports relating to the rally, and the Christian Science Monitor recently reported that 600 tickets for the event at the Davidson Arch have been sold. According to an opinion posted in The Washington Post, Beck has now joined an important list of people who support Israel. “In its long slog through history, the Jewish caravan has acquired a lot of improbable and colorful camp followers, from Bulan, king of the Khazars, to Marilyn Monroe and Madonna. Lately, conservative commentator and former Fox News TV personality Glenn Beck has joined their ranks,” wrote Zev Chafets in an Aug. 19 Op-Ed in the Washington Post. In an interview with that paper, cited by Chafets, Beck said that his rally will be attended by four presidential candidates, as well as 10 senators and 60 members of Congress. (more >>>)

Glenn Beck pays a visit to Itamar and Fogel home

Glenn Beck is back in Israel preparing for next week’s big ‘Restoring Courage’ rally. He took an afternoon to visit the town of Itamar, Samaria, the site of the horrible Fogel family massacre.

Fogel family

The Blaze – “I went to Itamar in Judea and Samaria, and I… our cameras were the first to be allowed into the home.  It is empty now and they are ‑‑ they couldn’t get all of the blood off the walls.  I will tell you, this was one of the most horrific, bloodiest massacres I could imagine.  It was horrifying, horrifying.  And yet in that community, profound hope.”

“If you stand in their backyard, you can see the two mountains:  The Mountain of Blessing and the Mountain of Curse.  It is the ‑‑ it is scriptural.  Which do you choose?  The mountain of blessing or curse.  And this community has both.  I can’t believe what people go through here in Israel, and the world stays silent.  The media is distorting and lying, lying to you.  Lying to you.  And it is important that you know it.”

“We will bring you many, many things in the next 14 days that you will not see anywhere else.  When you see what we were doing on GBTV, you will ‑‑ you will know why I left cable news.  Because no one, no one who runs a business that cares about political correctness or sponsors or anything else would do it.  Nobody be would do it.  My relationship is with you.  We’ll tell you the truth.  To hell with the consequences.  You don’t like it, cancel your subscription.  You do like it, tell a friend.  Tell a friend.  The truth shall set you free.”

Glenn Beck back in Israel for final preparations of ‘Restoring Courage’ rally

Glenn Beck is back in Israel to lay the final groundwork for next week’s massively ambitious ‘Restoring Courage’ rally.

It is being reported that hundreds of notable pro-Israel supporters are expected to attend, including American politicians and celebrities.

Among the big names being mentioned are politicians like U.S. Senators Joe Lieberman, Orrin Hatch, and Jim DeMint, as well as two  candidates for the Republican presidential nomination, probably, I’m guessing, Michelle Bachmann and Herman Cain. U.S. congressmen, including Majority Leader Eric Cantor, the highest ranking Jewish member in the U.S. House of Representatives is also slated to make an appearance.

Celebrities, and staunch Israel supporters, actors Jon Voight and Chuck Norris, as well as the ‘Nuge,’ the great rock and roller, Ted Nugent, are also supposed to be on hand. Beck has also hinted on his daily radio show and from his newly launched GBTV, that there will be a number of other suprises; that the event will be historic; and, he hopes, the start of something much bigger.

Glenn says that the goal of the rally is “to demonstrate to the world that Israel does not stand alone…to unite people around the world from all walks of life in standing with Israel, reminding us of the need to have faith, honor and courage in our own lives.”

The first of its kind event comes about a month before the PLO PA goes to the venomous United Nations, to ask for the terrorist-loving organization’s blessing for the establishment of yet another Islamonazi state to harass and attack Israel.

______________________________

Israel Hayom – A day after Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas officially announced his intention to submit a bid for Palestinian statehood to the U.N., American broadcaster Glenn Beck arrived in Israel on Saturday to prepare for a special event in support of Israel ahead of September’s events.

The Restoring Courage rally is scheduled for August 24th and consists of two separate gatherings, both to be held in Jerusalem. The first will be hosted at the Davidson Center in the Old City, and the second will take place at Safra Square, which is adjacent to Jerusalem’s city hall. According to Beck’s official website, the goal of the rally is “to demonstrate to the world that Israel does not stand alone…to unite people around the world from all walks of life in standing with Israel, reminding us of the need to have faith, honor and courage in our own lives.”

Hundreds of American politicians, along with Jewish and pro-Israel supporters, are expected to attend the gatherings. The event’s goal is to garner support for Israel in advance of the political storm it is expected to weather following the expected Palestinian bid in the U.N.

The guest list includes U.S. Senators like Joseph “Joe” Lieberman, Orrin Hatch, Jim DeMint, as well as two  candidates for the Republican presidential nomination.

Chuck Norris and Jon Voight

U.S. congressmen, including Majority Leader Eric Cantor, the highest ranking Jewish member in the U.S. House of Representatives, will join the advocates. Hollywood actors including Jon Voight and Chuck Norris are also set to visit the capital for the occasion.

In addition, hundreds of youth belonging to the World Likud organization, the Likud Party’s wing for global communication and networking, plan to participate in the event, along with World Likud chairman MK Danny Danon.

While in Israel, Beck is set to meet with several senior government officials including Vice Prime Minister Moshe Ya’alon and Ministers MK Yuli Edelstein, MK Daniel Hershkowitz and MK Einat Wilf.

Glenn Beck to give keynote speech at “A Night to Honor Israel” in Washington on Tuesday (updated)

UPDATE: Video of the speech can be seen here. (via The Blaze)

UPDATE 2: Good recap of the evening at Noisyroom (posted below). See also Noisyroom piece on John Bolton’s speech he gave at the event where he takes on the UN.

The indefatigable Glenn Beck is going to give the Keynote address at the “Night to Honor Israel Banquet” at the Washington D.C. Convention Center.

The event is sponsored by the great Pastor John Hagee and his Christians United for Israel (CUFI). Hagee has been a tireless supporter of Israel. His efforts have brought together millions of Zionist Christians across America to speak up and act in support of Israel.

Besides Pastor John Hagee, other speakers will include nationally syndicated radio host, Dennis Prager, Ambassador John Bolton and Ambassador Michael Oren.

I saw John Hagee speak in Jerusalem a year or so back, and he was terrific. His CUFI team put on an excellent show. Hagee has also done a lot for the Israeli town I live in, including the building of a sports center that bears his name.

Beck just spent a week in Israel traveling and preparing for his big “Restoring Courage” event to be held in Jerusalem on August 23rd. While he was here, Beck and his team also filmed for an upcoming documentary on Israel.

Glenbeck.com - Glenn Beck will be the keynote speaker at Christians United for Israel’s sixth annual Washington Summit on July 18-20, 2011. Glenn will give the keynote speech at “A Night to Honor Israel” ,a banquet held on Tuesday evening, July 19.

While Christians United for Israel (CUFI) has regularly held hundreds of “Nights for Israel” across America, this annual event gives participants the opportunity to unite their voices in speaking with elected officials to maintain our nation’s support for Israel and the Jewish state.

Roughly 4,500 people gathered at last year’s Washington Summit to demonstrate solidarity with Israel and listen to speakers and religious leaders such as world-renowned pastor and founder of CUFI, John Hagee.

“Israel’s enemies are our enemies; Israel’s fight is our fight,” Hagee said at the Summit last year. “If a line has to be drawn, then let it be drawn around both of us: Christians and Jews, Americans and Israelis.”

Attendees commented on last year’s event:

As a child of Holocaust survivors, I grew up with the feeling that everyone hated Jews. . . . But when I came to the CUFI Summit, I witnessed a tremendous outpouring of love for Israel and the Jewish people. – Rachal from Chicago, IL.

After attending CUFI Washington Summit I now feel more equipped to be not only a Christian voice, but a political voice both on my college campus on American soil. – Clayton, a student from Mobile, AL.

I always prayed for Israel but I never really knew why I had too. So coming to the summit made me understand why Christians should stand up for Israel. – Imani from San Antonio, TX.

This year, some of the most influential leaders and thinkers will come together to discuss the recent developments in Israel and the Middle East and their connection to Washington D.C. Besides Pastor John Hagee, other speakers will include nationally syndicated radio host, Dennis Prager, Ambassador John Bolton and Ambassador Michael Oren.

The Summit will feature classes and seminars as well as a prayer session, a movie and, of course, the Night to Honor Israel Banquet with Glenn Beck. Messages are focused around Israel: the importance of its history, key events surrounding its current situation and predicted future events. Two breakout sessions will allow participants to attend classes entitled “Israel 101,” “Christian Zionism” and “The Looming Threats” to name a few. For a full schedule of events click here

Recap of evening via Fern Sidman at Noisyroom: Glenn Beck; John Hagee Stir Crowd at CUFI Summit

Receiving numerous rousing ovations and thunderous applause, FOX television personality Glenn Beck told an audience of over 5000 gathered at the Christians United For Israel (CUFI) national summit in Washington that if the pernicious trends in global anti-Semitism culminate in another genocide “then count me as a Jew, and come for me first.” Mr. Beck delivered these remarks as part of his keynote address at “The Night to Honor Israel” gala banquet at organization’s sixth annual convocation on Tuesday evening, February 19th.

Having just returned from a trip to Israel where he addressed the Knesset Committee on Immigration, Absorption and Diaspora Affairs at the invitation of Deputy Knesset Speaker Danny Danon, Mr. Beck opened his speech by announcing his donation of $10,000 to the “CUFI On Campus” student organization that battles anti-Israel propaganda on hundreds of college and university campuses across America. Referencing his emotional trip to the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp, he stated his often-repeated belief that the inherent rights of the US Constitution and those delineated in the Declaration of Independence were a mandatory requirement for the prevention of evil of this magnitude from occurring. “The founding fathers had the answer 150 years before Hitler showed up,” he said, but reminded his audience that for two millennia, the Jewish people were not accorded those rights in the countries in which they resided.

Until the modern State of Israel was established in 1948, he said the Jews “have had no home base” and added that “this is why the nation of Israel is vital.” Recalling the painful history of the Jewish nation, he intoned, “They have been smeared. They have been maligned. But to our shame as human beings most of all, they have been forgotten in times of need.” Speaking directly to the Jewish people he said, “No one can protect your rights better than you. To rely on others is to ensure economic slavery at best, and death camps at worse.”

Spotlighting the existential siege that the Jewish state finds herself under by the looming Iranian nuclear threat and the forces of radical Islam in the Middle East and throughout the world, Mr. Beck concluded his address by issuing stern warnings to the enemies of Israel and the Jewish people that “times have changed” and the Jews would no longer stand alone in any potential confrontation.

“This is still America 2011. We are not the Christians of the Crusades. We are Christians United For Israel,” he declared.

Reiterating Mr. Beck’s sentiments was Pastor John Hagee, founder and chairman of Christians United For Israel who also delivered an impassioned address. “Mr. Ahmadinejad: Do not threaten the people of Israel and the people of America,” he said. Citing those miscreants throughout history who have sought to eradicate the Jewish people, he noted, “Look at Pharoah of Egypt and Haman of Persia in the story of Purim and you will have some idea of G-d’s punishment for you.”

Quoting Winston Churchill who said, “Courage is the first of qualities; courage is everything,” Pastor Hagee exhorted his acolytes to “dare to be yourself in the face of adversity; to have the courage to admit the truth.” Acting on his words Pastor Hagee then declared, “President Obama is not pro-Israel and he has broadcast that around the world. President Obama has told Israel not to build homes in Jerusalem. He has no right or authority to tell the Jewish people what to do.”

Advising the President to vent his rancor at those nations that are adversarial to the United States, he said, “Go tell Iran, China and Russia what to do. Israel is not a vassal state of the United States. It is free to determine their borders and their destiny. They are free to retaliate against anyone who attacks them.”

Speaking of the “toothless sanctions” that have been imposed on Iran, he proffered his belief that “Iran will become nuclear” and if attacked, “the liberal media would blame Israel for starting a war with Iran.”

Taking on those who have attempted to revise the Jewish narrative with statements geared towards separating the Jewish people from their religious and historical connection to the land of Israel, Pastor Hagee said, “We are still one nation under G-d, and it was G-d who gave the land of Israel to Abraham and it belongs to the Jewish people forever. The Jewish people are not occupying this land; they own this land.”

Addressing former White House Correspondent Helen Thomas who achieved dubious notoriety in June of 2010 when she told an interviewer that “Jews should get the hell out of Palestine” and to “go home to Germany, Poland and the United States,” Pastor Hagee said, “Helen, the Jews are not going anywhere. They are home.”

Also addressing the assemblage was Michael Oren, the Israeli ambassador to the United States who spoke of the meritorious deeds of such righteous gentiles as Major-General Orde Charles Wingate, a British Army officer and creator of special Jewish military units in British mandated Palestine in the 1930s and in World War II. Ambassador Oren said that as a devoutly religious Christian, Wingate became an ardent supporter of Zionism, seeing it as his religious duty to help the Jewish community in Palestine form an independent Jewish state.

Also lauding the multifarious accomplishments of the late Washington state senator, Henry “Scoop” Jackson, Oren said, “As a child Senator Jackson was taught to respect Jews in the Christian home he grew up in” and credited him with sponsoring legislation aimed at freeing Jews from the former Soviet Union. In 1974, while in the Senate, Jackson co-sponsored what has come to be known as the Jackson-Vanik amendment with Charles Vanik sponsoring it in the House. The amendment was intended to help refugees, specifically Jews, to emigrate from the former USSR. He recalled that such celebrated Soviet prisoners of conscience such as Natan (Anatoly) Sharansky who currently holds the position of chairman of the Jewish Agency in Israel, praised Jackson as a “defender of Israel; a torch bearer of faith.”

Beck speaks before packed Knesset committee

UPDATE: For the complete video, which is much better than the YouTube version, plus an interview done with him there, go here to The Right Scoop.

Glenn Beck is in Israel now. He’s sporting the beginning of a moutee and arrived after a visit to Auschwitz.

While here he had the chance to speak before the Knesset Aliyah and Absorption Committee on Monday about what he sees headed towards Israel in these tumultuous times.

MK Danny Danon (Likud) invited Beck to Israel and arranged the meeting. He spoke before a packed chamber of standing MKs and distinguished guests.

The meeting comes across as an informal talk, not a major speech. Among other things, Glenn tried to get the message across that the media cannot be trusted. Almost as to prove Beck’s point, Time Magazine just did another lie-filled propaganda piece against Israel. See Carl in Jerusalem’s Israel Matsav for his take down of the sickening rubbish.

I don’t know how many in the room had the English to understand all he was telling them. Some certainly did, but I have a feeling there were others who probably only got about half of it.

Arutz Sheva has more, and there is a news-story video of Beck at the Knesset at the Jerusalem Post.

______________________________

The Blaze - Glenn Beck was given a unique opportunity on Monday while visiting Israel: he delivered a rousing speech before the Jewish version of congress, called the Knesset.

“Where you go, I shall go, Your people is my people, your God is my God,” Beck said, quoting the book of Ruth while addressing the Knesset Immigration, Absorption and Diaspora Affairs Committee.

“As a man who also worships the one God, in the times that we live in, it is clear that what is going on is God’s work. If we are silent, evil will win. But if we stand up and take charge, God will do the rest,” he added, according to the Jerusalem Post.

He also encouraged members to reach out to those of other faiths:

“If you go to a synagogue, reach out to a church. If you go to a church, reach out to a JCC. Say, will you watch this with me? After that we’ll talk and eat and get to know one another.”

The Jerusalem Post highlights some of Beck’s main points, which may sound familiar to some of his regular listeners:

1) The Israeli-Palestinian conflict is about destruction of Israel and the west.

2) Anti-semitism is going to go through the roof. When these conditions appear, it’s always the Jews fault. It’s not about the holocaust, (that’s) just the latest in a string of events thousands of years. Holocaust is just the one they made a movie about. It was the same way all the time.

3) The world is about to change, so think differently. Everything you thought you can count on, forget about it, (and) create new systems.

4) The truth shall set you free.

He also went on to recount his recent trip to Auschwitz, using it as an opportunity to praise the Jewish people.

During the trip, which Beck is taking ahead of his August 24 “Restoring Courage” event in Israel, he received a warm welcome from Israeli politicians as well as from at least one local supporter who went to great ends to show support for Beck. .

“(I am) glad to host a friend of the State of Israel,” Knesset member Danny Danon (Likud) told his colleagues. “Usually we don’t clap here in the Knesset, but maybe we can do that at the end.”

“Glenn Beck has a lot of experience with putting facts on the table… if we didn’t have someone like Glenn Beck we would have had to invent someone like him,” he added.

But besides receiving praise from Danon, Beck recalled another message delivered by a supporter in a unique way. While talking about the trip during his radio show Monday, he explained that one person unfurled a welcome banner from atop a crane.

“The left is scared, rightfully so,” it said. “Welcome Glenn Beck.”

Glenn Beck returns to Israel in July for pre-game show

Glenn at Yad Vashem

Glenn Beck will be in Israel for preparations for his big August ‘Restoring Courage’ rally in Jerusalem. While he’s here he will address the Knesset Immigration, Absorption and Diaspora Affairs Committee chair headed by Likud MK Danny Danon.

Although speaking in front of the Knesset committee is sure to get Liberals’ diapers in a wad, I think that will be overshadowed by Glenn’s possible meeting with 12-year-old Tamar Fogel, which would be great.

Tamar is one of the surviving children from the brutal Itamar slayings that were carried out by Fakestinian savages. Beck was the only mainstream media talent to give that story the attention it deserved.

Jerusalem Post - Conservative pundit Glenn Beck will advise MKs on fighting the delegitimization of Israel abroad during a trip to Israel in July.

Knesset Immigration, Absorption and Diaspora Affairs Committee chair MK Danny Danon (Likud) invited Beck, a Fox News and radio host and an outspoken supporter of Israel, to address the committee on how to recruit friends of Israel in the US to defend Israel’s right to exist.

“When we face an international wave of hatred of Israel and Jews – which is expressed in Facebook pages and films calling for our destruction – it’s good that Israel has talented friends that can contribute to our public-relations efforts,” Danon said.

The Likud MK added that the July 11 committee meeting with Beck will focus on September’s UN General Assembly, where the Palestinian Authority has said it will unilaterally declare statehood.

“September isn’t just a crisis,” Danon explained. “It’s an opportunity to explain to the world that we are not occupying anything.” (the part where Israeli Libs whine >>>)

Glenn Beck speaking about Tamar Fogel.

Glenn’s rally is about restoring courage, and so meeting with this example of courage is quite fitting. Speaking of courage, Tamar was recently granted the very rare opportunity to meet with Jonathan Pollard in his prison cell. If she and Glenn meet, I wouldn’t be surprised if she asks him to add his voice to those calling for his release.

Glenn Beck’s ‘Restoring Courage’ rally in Jerusalem shaping up to be huge, star-studded extravaganza

Glenn Beck’s “Restoring Courage” rally in Jerusalem on August 24th is shaping up to be a huge, star-studded extravaganza.

Attendees are said to include Sarah Palin, Senator Joe Lieberman, Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich, Mike Huckabee, and Congresswoman Michelle Bachman. In addition, there will be many big name entertainment acts, both U.S. and Israel.

Like every idea Glenn Beck comes up with, his detractors are quick to denounce and denigrate him, but Beck ignores the naysayers and gives every one of his projects 101%, shaming his foes into silence.

His “Restoring Courage” rally later this summer in Jerusalem is going to require an incredible amount of planning, logistics, and cooperation, but if this report is accurate, it sounds like Beck and his people are receiving the miracles they will require for another smashing success.

When one stops to consider the amount of work, money, and headaches that must go in to putting together such a thing, in such a short time, and in such a far-off land, one cannot with any honesty, deny the man’s grit, sincerity, or determination to stand up  for Israel and the Jewish people.

YnetTV star’s solidarity event is expected to draw thousands of Israelis, Americans with music, pyrotechnics. Sarah Palin, republican presidential candidates set to drop by

Tens of thousands of excited Israelis and Americans, music performances, appearances by local and international celebrities, senior politicians and a live broadcast that will reach millions of viewers – this is just some of what is in store for Glenn Beck’s upcoming rally “to restore courage,” which is set to take place on August 24 in Jerusalem.

Beck has been leading a publicity campaign for the event over the past few weeks, urging his viewers and listeners to fly out to the Holy Land.

The staunch Christian Fox News personality aims to show support for Israel by recreating last August’s rally “to restore honor,” which he held in Washington, DC.

This year, the Wailing Wall will replace Lincoln Memorial as the backdrop for the event, which will take place at Jerusalem’s Old City and the Teddy Stadium simultaneously.

The multi-million dollar production is expected to be attended by a convoy of American dignitaries, including former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin. US Senator Joe Lieberman, a Democrat, and Republicans Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich, Mike Huckabee and Congresswoman Michelle Bachman are to join Beck at the rally as well.

Knesset to host meetup

Those hoping for a VIP ticket will be disappointed to find out that the 600 prime seating spots at the Davidson Center have all been sold out – for $5,000 a pop. The rest of the spectators will have to settle for a spot at the stadium, or at the Sultan’s Pool archeological site. The main events will be broadcast on giant screens for a better view. The rally is open to the general public with free admission.

A series of musical performances, designed to lure Israeli audiences, are expected at the rally, and Beck said he intends to recruit some US star power for the event as well. A pyrotechnic show and free snacks and drinks are anticipated as well.

The bustle of preparation has also been felt at the Knesset: the legislative body is to host a meeting between the visiting dignitaries and their Israeli colleagues. World Likud Chairman MK Danny Danon is leading the Knesset’s cooperation with Beck. The two met in the US recently.

“Thousands of supporters will arrive in Israel just as the prophets of wrath are attempting to frighten the public,” Danon said. “With a tremendous show of force we will send a clear message that we are not scared, and we believe in our eternal right for Jerusalem and the land of Israel.”

Here is the venue where the rally will take place. It’s at the south side of the Kotel (Western Wall). It’s not a large area so it is bound to be quite crowded.

Herman Cain to join Glenn Beck in Jerusalem

Herman Cain says he’ll join Glenn Beck in Jerusalem for Beck’s ‘Restoring Courage’ rally.

Cain, a GOP presidential candidate, is a strong critic of Barack Obama’s Middle East policies, and especially of those that apply to Israel.

Beck interviewed Cain yesterday on his TV show. Cain spoke about Israel, whom he calls “one of the most courageous nations on the planet,” and other things that have earned him the opprobrium of Muslims and their staunch allies on the Left.

Politico - Herman Cain says he is headed to Israel for Glenn Beck’s Jerusalem rally in August.

The Atlanta businessman and former pizza magnate announced his plans to attend the “Restoring Courage” rally on Beck’s Fox News show.

“Speaking of courage, you’re going to be doing ‘Restoring Courage’ in Israel. I’m going to be there with you,” Cain said Wednesday.

Beck, who appeared unaware of Cain’s plans to attend the event, shook the businessman’s hand, saying “Herman Cain, what a man.”

The event is set to be a variation on Beck’s “Restoring Honor” rally last August.

The admiration goes both ways: at the start of the show, the Fox News host listed the three celebrities he’s ever wanted to meet: B.B. King, Michael Buble and Cain.

Beck visits Temple Mount

Sitting on the steps of the Temple Mount.

I mentioned Glen Beck’s surprise visit to Israel yesterday. On Tuesday he took in Jerusalem’s old city and the Temple Mount. I assume he also visited the Kotel (Western Wall). He also visited Yad Vashem, the Holocaust Museum in Jerusalem.

According to his website, Glen plans to do his radio show today (Tuesday), so considering the timing, one must assume he will be broadcasting from Jerusalem. Heck, he could be on the air there right now.

UPDATE: Glen posted a video he made at Jerusalem’s Garden Tomb where he speaks a little about what prompted his surprise trip. You can watch it here.

Arutz Sheva - American conservative talk show host Glenn Beck, is in Israel and visited the Temple Mount Tuesday.

Beck has been talking a great deal about Israel lately, particularly his concern that “Israel is being set up.” He believes that U.S. attacks on Libya may be part of a plan to authorize future attacks against Israel.

Walking towards Yad Vashem

Beck visited the Temple Mount ten years ago. “I had done some reading but I didn’t understand until I went there,” Beck told theblaze.com on Friday and Saturday, just prior to his departure. “The Temple Mount almost pulsated. I could feel it.”

The decision to go this weekend was made just a few days ahead of time. “He’s working on a project,” theblaze.com explained. “During our phone conversation, he spoke with a measured enthusiasm, indicating the project is deeply important to him and that he hoped have more information to reveal very soon.

Beck will also be speaking at the “Christians United for Israel” event in Washington, DC on July 19th.

Shalom Glen Beck and welcome to Israel!

The Beck has landed.

It what seems was a surprise move, Glen Beck flew to Israel where he is helping to celebrate the Jewish State’s 63rd anniversary. I don’t know if he planned it that way, but that’s what is going on here.

According to his website, there will be updated photos of him here. As I write this, there are currently two photos. Him with an ice cream cone, and another wearing a kippa.

I don’t know how long he’s visiting for, but at least long enough to meet with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Monday and visit the old city on Tuesday.

Glen Beck has taken on the cause of Israel over the past few months on his show, saying, “I stand with Israel“. He is deeply concerned with what is happening in the ‘new’ Middle East, and believes that “Israel is being set up.”

Not only is he absolutely right, but he is the only voice on television who dares to speak the unapologetic truth about what is happening in this part of the world, and the monolithic threat that Israel is facing – not just from Her neighbors and terrorists organizations like Hamas, Fatah, and Hezbollah, but from so-called allies, like the EU, and, sadly, the Obama regime.

Beck sees it, and as far as TV personalities go, only he has had the courage to call the Obama regime out, and say, J’accuse!

I hope, however, that he doesn’t get sucked into an interview on Israeli TV, because it is every bit as lunatic Leftwing as American TV, and he might be stunned to learn that the Israeli elite would not likely be on his side. The Left is the Left no matter where you find them.

But if reports are correct, and Likuk’s MK Danny Danon will be at his side, then he should be in good hands.

Jerusalem Post - US TV personality visits Israel; Danon: He has proven himself to be a true friend of Israel who is willing to speak out when so many are often silent.

Fox News television personality Glenn Beck, visiting Israel in honor of Independence Day, was scheduled to meet with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Monday.

Beck was expected to visit the Temple Mount in Jerusalem on Tuesday, accompanied by Likud MK Danny Danon.

Here’s a welcoming ditty from Aish in celebration of Israel’s 63rd anniversary.
