Terrorist-supporting novelist, Alice Walker, puts kibosh on Hebrew edition of her book that wasn’t even offered to her and was already in print

What a twit.

So, the overrated has-been is starved for a little publicity once again. Here’s what I wrote when the useful idiot joined up with Gaza flotilla gang of miscreants and terrorists almost exactly a year ago. It’s just as applicable now:

…Alice Walker, who thinks that America and Israel are the world’s worst terror states, has decided to join the terrorist-supporting Gaza flotilla. She called the Leftist activists, “some of the best people on earth.”

Walker has no problem with Islamic terrorists who target innocent women and children, and who call for the eradication of an entire people, as the Hamas charter most certainly does.

She has no problem with Muslim ‘honor killings,’ female genital mutilation, second-class citizenship for women, or any of the myriad of other daily outrages committed upon her fellow ‘sisters’ throughout the Islamic world.

Walker has been feeding off of the fame of a single book published in 1982, The Color Purple. After 30 years of mediocrity, she feels compelled to start a new career as a supporter for radical Islam and its adherents. The very country whose freedom allowed her to live a life of fame, money, and privilege, she repays with slanderous bile.

Hey Alice, do you think a book like ‘The Color Purple’ could ever have been published in an Islamic country and then made into a major motion picture? More Israelis have probably read your book and seen your movie than the entire Arab world combined.

But hey, thanks for allowing posterity to know who the real Alice Walker is, and what an absolute fraud and ignoramus she truly is.

Meanwhile…

The Blaze spoke to a staffer in the production department of Yediot Books in Tel Aviv who said the publishing house had no plans to translate the book, and no earlier versions of the book appear in its catalogue. According to the newspaper Globes, the book was translated into Hebrew in 1984. The catalogue of the Israeli book website “Simania” writes the Ladori Publishing house released the book previously in Hebrew.

That’s weird, huh?

You can read her supposed letter to the Israeli publisher here. In it she lectures the company about “Israeli appartheid,” displaying her colossal ignorant in all its brain-addled glory.

See Phyllis Chesler’s take down of Alice Walker in her pieces, ‘Alice Walker: Stop Telling Lies About Israel’ and ‘The Flotilla of Fools off to Gaza’.

Alice Walker – Liberal hack and terrorist sympathizer

JTA — Alice Walker, author of “The Color Purple,” refused to authorize a Hebrew translation of her prize-winning work, citing what she called Israel’s “apartheid state.”

In a June 9 letter to Yediot Books, Walker said she would not allow the publication of the book into Hebrew because “Israel is guilty of apartheid and persecution of the Palestinian people, both inside Israel and also in the Occupied Territories.”

In her letter, posted Sunday by the Palestinian Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel on its website, Walker supported the boycott, divestment and sanctions movement and offered her hope that the BDS movement “will have enough of an impact on Israeli civilian society to change the situation.”

It was not clear when Yediot Books, an imprint of the daily Yediot Achronot newspaper, made the request, or whether Walker could in fact stop translation of the book. At least one version of the book has already appeared in Hebrew translation, in the 1980s.

Walker said Israelis policies were “worse” than the segregation she suffered as an American youth and said South Africans had told her it was worse than Apartheid.

“The Color Purple,” which won the 1983 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction, was adapted into a movie in 1985 directed by Jewish filmmaker Steven Spielberg.

The novel and the film, which was nominated for 11 Oscars, treat racism in the American South in the first part of the 20th century and sexism among blacks.

Walker has intensified her anti-Israel activism in recent years, traveling to the Gaza Strip to advocate on behalf of the Palestinians.
